What a bad, bad article. If someone wants to bust their chops (NICELY) it wouldn’t hurt my feelings.
Lead author (Larry Bush) has never published on anything Lyme related and he seems to be publishing just to see his name in the journals.
His topics run the gamut from the sperm of African antelope, to evaluating Hep B vaccines, to gastric banding bariatric surgery, to reporting on the anthrax attacks.
His contact info is here...
Larry M. Bush, M.D. University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Miami, FL [email protected]
Coauthor, MT Vazquez-Pertejo, has published only three times from 2016 to 2018; twice with Larry Bush and once with a hodgepodge of others.
His topics include colonic microbiota, unintended consequences of routine urinalysis and his latest is this junk on Lyme disease.

Typical pile of trash. No new data. No new science. Just the same regurgitated garbage.
Especially the last line-
"Currently, no preventative vaccine is available. In some geographic areas, patients may be confected with Babesia, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma since the same Ixodes ticks transmit these pathogens."
Pretty sure confected is a typo for co-infected...
