Well, since I've been very low carb / high fat and getting the swing of it, I thought I might treat myself to a fancy whipped cream dispenser. My very first shopping / "study search" took me here:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2017/06/22/whipped-cream-dispenser-explodes-killing-french-instagram-fitness-model/?utm_term=.52c442af2887

Whipped cream dispenser explodes, killing French Instagram fitness model

Washington Post - 2017 . . . with a photo of one similar style I had been considering

Photo caption:

Here’s an example of the cartridge/siphon for whipped cream that exploded and struck Rebecca’s chest, killing her.

Take note: the cartridge that caused her death was sealed. Do not use this type of device in your home! Tens of thousands of these appliances are still in circulation. . . .

[article talks about in France, but these are all over the world and many made in the same place and shipped]. Homework required.

Safer method:

How to make homemade whipped cream in 30 seconds - with an immersion blender / hand held.

The trick to to be sure your container has tall sides and is somewhat narrow in width.

Also
start with a chilled stainless steel bowl.

Beat till stiff peaks form, that don't collapse.

Some of the plastics for some reason leave the cream more liquid.
