State-wide information needed.

We need a list of current websites for any state Lyme disease websites. And links to facebook etc for any state-wide groups.

I went to one of the Lymenet support groups listed here and got a website on housing in Japanese! And the two listed for Ohio aren't correct. One was dissolved over 15 years ago and the other has not had a website for 10 years!

Maybe people here could list such state websites and other reliable links available in your state that are current and reliable and list good contacts.

We could start with the best in your state. I will be glad to keep a running list. Here is a start:

Ohio Lyme Disease Link on facebook.
www.lymedisease.org - CA

Thanks, Robin!
It is amazing and does so much nationally.

I parked that on my post. I will start another post to keep the running list.

We have an open Facebook page and also a Private Facebook page. Our open page is just general info. The heavy duty action goes on in our Private page.

Here is a list of many European associations linked to lyme disease, in French, and many other languages.

I have really, really good news. As of TODAY, in the wee hours early this morning actually, a new nation-wide on-line support group which replaces the various old state Yahoo support groups has been set up.

The reason for this change is that Verizon, which bought out Yahoo back in 2017, announced last month that they would no longer continue supporting free Yahoo e-groups and that all of the old Yahoo archives would vanish by Dec. 14, 2019.

Thanks to Phyllis Mervine of the LDO and Pat Ricks of TxLyme and most especially our volunteer IT expert, Chris Kinsey who is the father of a pediatric Texas Lyme patient, ALL of the old Yahoo archives from all 50 states were salvaged and transferred to a new website, hosted by groups.io.com.

As I understand it so far, members can join their own separate state groups under the larger LDO "umbrella" group, and they can also participate in the larger nation-wide group, which consists of 9042 members.

Here's a link to the announcement about it, posted by Phyllis Mervine of the LDO:
https://lyme.groups.io/g/Lyme

To subscribe to this new group, scroll down to the bottom of the page, under the sub-heading (in bold font) "Group Email Addresses."

Here's the link to the newly formed TxLyme group: https://lyme.groups.io/g/TX

Our old TxLyme Yahoo group website was officially closed as of last night, but ALL of our old TxLyme archives (going all the way back to 2002) have been incorporated into this new group, so nothing of value was lost, thankfully.
