Can't find food to eat that doesn't give me intolerable headaches. Like Lymetoo, allergy tests come back mostly clean, but there are very few foods that don't make me pay for eating them. Antihistamines help, but it takes ridiculous amounts of them to make a difference.
My doc thought my doing a fecal transplant in February would "fix" me. It cleaned up my lab tests by making the gut infections go away, but my symptoms were the same after the transplant as before it. My sinuses still feel like they're burning most of the time.
When I have strong reactions I have to eat. Have to. It's a compulsion. As the number of nonproblematic foods has shrunk, I've lost all the foods I used to eat for comfort or to deal with stress.
I see my holistic doctor next week. She is open- minded and wouldn't give me a problem for bringing up MCAS as a possibility. Does my story ring any bells out there? If so, what tests are used to diagnose MCAD?

I hadn't heard of MCAD, so looked it up...
"Medium-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase (MCAD) deficiency is an inherited disorder that prevents your body from breaking down certain fats and converting them into energy." from Mayo Clinic def.
It usually shows up in childhood. I hope your Holistic doc has some answers.
