"You'd better watch out.
You'd better not cry.
You'd better not pout.
I'm telling you why..."

The exercise thread is coming to town today! [Big Grin]

Hope you are in the Christmas spirit and moving as well. Tell us about all the exercise you are getting this week--trimming the tree, shoveling, cleaning the house etc. etc.

I did a load of laundry.

Dashed to Kroger to get a few grocery items.

Went to recycling. First time since shoulder surgery and balance therapy I have been able to carry the recycle box down the stairs. Small victory but happy about it!

Watching a bit of football and reading this afternoon. Probably catch the Kennedy Center Honors tonight.

Have a super week and we look forward to having AK back from Japan soon. [Smile]

I went to church as usual. Announced that our shoeboxes went to Panama and Mexico this year!! Did you know that they recently found a tribe in the mountains of Mexico that had never heard of Jesus?

They have now! There is a church that was just built as a direct result of OCC bringing shoeboxes there a few years ago.

I did some shoulder exercises .. need to do some more. Only trouble is that my shoulders hurt.

Going to shoulder PT in the early morning .. then off to the next state for our dentist. I need a new crown. Let's hope the crown will do OK. My old one is leaking.

the weather will be iffy but I think we will do OK

We had 4 inches of snow and my neighbor had my drive cleared before I was even out of bed!

I only ventured outside to get the mail and then take the garbage can to the curb.

I did my shoulder exercises and balance exercises.

Wrapped some Christmas gifts.

I just now got up from almost two days of being in bed. After taking a break from Antabuse, I started again and took two 50mg doses 5 days apart.

I thought I was handling it well but on Sunday a herx started that left me floored for the last two days. Major inflammation all over with muscle twitching all over my body as bad as I have ever had it, and in places that I have never had it before.

This simply has to be a herx as every Lyme symptom I have has increased dramatically. I am back to having to wait until this settles down to take another dose.

My work has asked me to get a lot done for them at home in the next few weeks, and Christmas time is always stressful no matter what. The next few weeks are not going to be fun, as I am also going to have to have this bad wisdom tooth removed and risk triggering a mast cell reaction. Wish me luck, I cannot let this go any longer as the pain doesn't go away anymore.

Maybe I should start back with 25mg's instead of 50. How can I still be reacting this way after several months of treatment?

Going to try to work some while listening to some relaxing music.

NLIF--Praying to our Lord that the herx settles down and the wisdom tooth removal will go smoothly with no mast cell reaction. When are you having that tooth out? (I have pliers and volunteer to help [Big Grin] )

I did my shoulder exercises this morning.

I went to balance therapy at the clinic this afternoon. She had me working on stairs, ramps and hard surfaces today. I struggle with all of those. Very good therapist.

Went to chiropractor.

Have another splitting headache. Lots of sinus drainage. I know I should probably break down and ask for an antibiotic but my stomach does not handle them well at all. No fever and clear mucous. Maybe after Christmas.

Off to start thinking about dinner.

hiker, I have actually been looking at this tooth in the mirror while thinking..."I wish I could just get someone to pull it out with pliars"...lol.

Called my dentist today and can get in the Monday after Christmas.

Still herxing, but a little less than the last few days. Antabuse with Lyme is not for the faint of heart.

I worked all night on the computer as I almost always fall in the habit of sleeping all day when feeling miserable and then being awake during the night.

I don't like that kind of cycle for long, but I do find the calmness of night when everyone else is sleeping to be spiritually refreshing. I have sometimes been taking my walk at 2 or 3 in the morning and I love the stillness of everything, especially when I make it out to a major road here in Ft. Myers that I am close to and it's just empty and quiet. And this time of year the nights are simply beautiful here in Florida temp wise.

NLIF--Come on up to IL and take a walk at 2 or 3 in the morning. You might not do it again. Brr. [Big Grin]

I did my shoulder exercises and balance exercises.

Spent some time getting MD to send insurance authorization to right place for CT scan tomorrow. So much incompetence in the medical field.

If I hadn't called radiology to make sure everything was all set, I would have got there tomorrow morning and been denied the test.

I paid some bills. Had fun reading Christmas cards I have received. I am a snail mail type of gal.

Am being lazy the rest of the day and reading. My plans to go grocery shopping, to the library and to make muffins went by the wayside.

I'm still here!!

Had a busy day, but had to cut my grocery shopping short today due to pain down my leg. Oh joy.

So rested all evening.

More PT in the morning.

Had my CT scan this morning.

Did my shoulder exercises. Gave my sore knee a rest by not doing my balance exercises.

I get re-evaluated tomorrow at balance therapy. Simply means she will test me to see how I am progressing towards my goals, but I know I have more sessions after that.

Unfortunately, my wonderful therapist is taking an extended leave of absence and I will get a new therapist tomorrow. I really like the gal I was working with and she new all my quirks and issues.

I went grocery shopping this afternoon.

Ironed some clothes. Not a task I really like much. But it forced me to go up and down the stairs several times and that is good for me.

Worked most of the night, took my walk at 3 in the morning. Saw 8 or 10 of the fattest raccoons I have ever seen scurry out of the apartment trash dumpster area when I walked by.

Woke up around noon today and decided to take another dose of Antabuse. 50mg's again. Hopefully my weekend won't be ruined because of it.

Going to watch a movie and then maybe grocery store later tonight.

Wisdom Tooth is a 7 out of 10 on pain scale. And no I am not a baby when it comes to pain [Smile] .

NLIF--Sorry about tooth pain. What movie did you watch?

Went to balance therapy clinic for my re-evaluation today. Am progressing but still need more sessions.

Went to chiropractor.

Saw results of my sinus CT scan. Have not talked to MD, yet, but basically it shows that besides the deviated nasal septum with spurs, I have growths blocking the passages that drain the sinuses.

I suspect the MD will suggest sinus surgery, but am hoping to find some alternatives. Am even willing to risk oral steroids.

Sinus surgery would be extensive and would keep me from doing my exercises for several weeks. I cannot afford to have my shoulder lock up or muscles atrophy and I don't want to lose the progress I have made in balance therapy.

But these headaches are killer headaches and like NLIF I am not a wimp.

BFF coming over tonight with Chipotle. A burrito bowl may not be the best for my sinuses but I need comfort food tonight.

Tutu--Illini plays Missouri tomorrow in bragging rights game (basketball)

Went to the library and ran errands this morning.

Did my shoulder and balance exercises.

Cooked up a meatloaf to freeze.

Did a load of laundry.

Watched Illini lose to Missouri in basketball.

Am doing a lot of research on sinus surgery. recent studies show no antibiotics are needed and no packing of the nose and sinuses. But most MD's do these anyway. I won't do surgery if oral antibiotics required.

Hiker .. My surgeon did not pack my sinuses... thanks goodness!!! But mine was in the maxillary sinus cavity each time.

I had to take Bactrim afterward because I had a serious infection in there.

I have no allegiance to Missouri .. so rock on!!

I'm a little partial to Missouri State .. especially the Lady Bears.

We could talk about the AFC South Champions!!! Houston Texans!!

We had choir rehearsal this morning then came home and chilled. I cut hubby's hair for him. I've cut his hair ever since we were seriously dating .. a LONG time ago!!

Still have not done my Christmas cards. I'm so unmotivated.

Today hubby went along to his family Christmas dinner! It went well, though he said he had times he struggled. He's bushed tonight. We were gone at least 4 hours!!

Still need to finish sewing a few of my Christmas gifts....
