Due to supply problems I recently was forced to switch from Questran to a generic form of cholestyramine. However because of severe sensitivities (i have MCAS and Lyme) i didnt do well on this replacement. Switching again to Questran-A (the one with aspartame), the only other thing my pharmacy was able to get their hands on, was also a failure; my MCAS doesnt like the aspartame or the Xanthan gum in it...

So with that in mind im now looking for a pharmacy in Europe that could supply a compounded pure version. Since the regular Questran is no longer available and my MCAS will probably do better on a pure form any way.

But so far no success... I know their are a couple of pharmacies in the US that provide it, but they dont generally ship to the EU.

So does anyone here know of a compounding pharmacy in the EU that supplies this? Or perhaps their is a different way to get it?
I would be very thankful for any tips, since this drug has been such an important part of my healing process and i cannot live without it. Thank you very much!

ok, i actually found a pharmacy in Belgium that is able to supply cholestyramine in pure form for a very reasonable price!
[woohoo]

So problem solved for now! No more junk ingredients for my mast cells! [Big Grin]

I have just PM’d you on this- would be eternally grateful if you could please share the details of the Belgian pharmacy selling an EU source of pure Cholestyramine, I’m in desperate need and it is so so hard to get it shipped from US to U.K.!
