I received this from long time friend "just don" today......
*****, have you heard my story about bypass surgery day? It was surreal to say the least. Woke up in cardio surgery icu. EVERY doctor nurse and assistant, about 30 to35 of them were standing in this darkened room with there hands in their pockets doing nothing.
You could hear a pin drop. They all had this death look on their faces. Could hear whispers from one doc to another. “How long does he have?” Answer”15-45 minutes, wont make an hour”. My blood pressure had tanked very low.
They thought i had blown bypass vein that was filling my heart sac with fluid not letting heart function. I was intubated, couldnt talk, there was an angelic older nurse with curly hair and glasses furiously working massaging my hands. I lipped “am i dying?”
Answer “oh no we would never allow that”. My hands were tied down and tube biting at my throat, more i tried talking worse it got. Everyone in room still staring.
Somebody suggested I might have not ate or drank much. Surgery started before 8 am and it was like 5 pm. So they infused a litter of fluid and a liter of albumen.
My RN daughter said never heard of anybody get THAT much. Doc called it a cardiac tamponade. Result was blood pressure popped right up and here I am today. Felt MUCH better after all tubes and wires removed.
Doing cardiac rehab now and going to dr surgeon tommorrow. Couple days after surgery my heart went into A-fib for 15 minutes. Couple bouts with infection in vein harvested leg.
Feel free to share my story with those that know me from lymenet etc. I dont know how and am moving and thinking poorly.
Its my story and I am sticking to it.

I think he has been too sick and just couldn't contact everyone. He told me on a group text about 2 weeks ago that he had a story to tell.
So he was finally able to tell me the story yesterday.
I hope he continues to improve!

Godspeed Just Don.
That angelic curly haired older lady might just have been an angel there to assure you it wasn't your time.
Thanks for the share Tutu. Goodness we are fighters!
