Hello to all old (and new) friends on Lymenet.

I have not posted since the start of the pandemic for reasons I will explain later.

I have also lost access to my original login of Eight Legs Bad (if anyone who knew me previously wants to verify my identity, please get in touch.)

I want to report a very worrying situation re a friend here in Britain who made valuable contributions to the Lyme cause some years ago, including assisting us with publicising the groundbreaking work of Dr MacDonald and the Duray Foundation (in a technical role).

Despite his not having had any involvement in Lyme for some years now, he has frequently been subject to the same harassment and surveillance as myself.

Some weeks ago, at approx 3 AM, a man entered his house, despite the fact he had strong security locks.

Fortunately my friend woke immediately and confronted the man, who then pretended to be mentally ill.

My friend called the police who arrived almost immediately. Bizarrely, the man appeared relieved the police had arrived.

The police claimed that he was a "missing person" and implied he was vulnerable and had mental problems.

This DOES NOT explain how this man gained access to my friend's house.

One police officer appeared to question the man, asking "How did you get in?"

The man replied that he simply turned the handle.

Locked doors do not open by simply turning the handle. Yet the police did not question him any further.

In 2019, Kris Newby's book "Bitten" began the process of opening the door to an investigation on the origins of Lyme - and the reason for its denial.

It's unforgivable that that door has been allowed to close, and the congressional demands for an investigation into the Pentagon's appalling negligence and global harm that resulted, abandoned.

I am calling attention to what has happened to my friend as we do not know what our security services here in UK (closely allied with USA's), will do next.

It seems that even my silence for over 2 years (and my friend's complete non-involvement for 5 years!) is not enough for them.

Here in the UK a spotlight is currently being shone on the appalling abuses of people's right to participate in campaigns and protest activity.

(For example, google the recent landmark ruling by the IPT against spycop Mark Kennedy).

People who peacefully exercised their democratic right to campaign on various issues - climate change, pollution, animal rights etc- were treated like terrorists.

And so have some Lyme activists - my friend's experience being a perfect example.

It is high time that the corrupt authorities authorising such antidemocratic and illegal actions (they call them "Black Ops") understood that the Lyme Disease coverup will eventually be exposed - just as so many other coverups have been.

I say this above all because of the huge progress being made in gene sequencing among other techniques, which will allow scientists to discover - even accidentally- borrelia in places and diseases no one (in mainsrtream medicine)ever dreamt they would.

Moreover the universal acknowledgment of the Long Covid phemomenon is fast making the dismissal of chronic Lyme, ME/CFS as "psychosomatic" etc completely untenable and archaic.

Elena

ps My friend has asked to remain anonymous for now, so if anyone here has recognised knows who it is, please respect that and do not post his name online. Thank you.

Longstanding members may know me as I was on this board for years as "EightLegsBad". My name is Elena Cook and I have been researching the interface between Lyme Disease and biological warfare since 2003.
