Hi its me again,

Hoped to have good news, Trek' got his new motorized wheelchair. Much more hi -tech thanwe are it seems.
But instead of working to figure it out, the nurse called the ambulance ,and he's back in hospital. A worsening leg infection. we had hoped with meds it'd get better. V. A. Hospital hasnt done much.

This ambulance crew was smart, and knows a few things so he is now at the Base hospital, and they are actively working to find and heal the problem.

He went this morning, they are using some good ABX to fight the infection, He was admitted and is there at least tonight, maybe longer. We'll see what they find.

We know he had West Nile some years back. And I am sure that he has Lyme like I fight,
Military doesn't 'hold ' with it,or at least was still not helping those with Borrelia up 'til recently. If they are we were not aware.

Those who pray please do so for my Trek'love Nobody deserves this, after fighting long COVID too. We try and fight thru and not give up. We are both so very weary.

I don't mean to bring any down and gloomy stuff up. I am concerned for my Love. Our 45th anniversary is the 1st week of November. And we wanted to celebrate, likely with a few friends here at home. Don't know what is gonna happen. Asking Gods Strength to carry on.

I'll check back in Later. Jus' Silverwolfi

hello hiker53,

Thanks for the prayers! I was kinda down last night. Trek is doing okay, just feeling really penned up. We don't know much more than the leg infection and a small spot infected elsewhere.

They've done blood testing, are growing a culture, and theyve done some CT scans. We were hoping to hear somthing by this P.M., And he could maybe come home soon. And we're waiting and waiting and..... you get the drift. But at least Base Hospital is trying to find answers.

SO we keep praying and hoping and trusting the Lord! Jus' Silverwolfi here!

Oh Wolfie....definitely praying for you two. Good news that Trek got new wheels and he's receiving better medical care.

45 years is something! Happy early anniversary!

No need to apologize for bringing anyone down. We're all in this together and support one another through our trials.

Sending you hugs and prayers!!!

Thanks aklnwlf,

The prayers honestly help! We don't know if /or when he can be home yet. They have done two blood cultures and will do another this p.m.

Trek texted me that they haven't explained anything yet. So we dont know what they are looking for.

He left Jan.23rd, 2022 for hospital.COVID., didn't get home till Oct.13th 2022 . Since DEC.15th 2022,this is the 10th time he has landed in hospital. Base hospital is actually trying to find answers to help!

It will be nice if he gets to be home by our 45th, hopefully way sooner! Thanx for the Congrats everyday of this marriage has been worth it! Even in the really hard times, and the good days have been many!

Better go for now Jus' Silverwolfi here.

Sorry to see this Silver. That darn covid causes havoc in the body, reactivates old viruses and bacterial infections and lowers our immune system even further.

He could have picked up anything in a medical environment too. Prayers for healing.

Hi map1131, and anyone following this thread,

Trek got home from the actual Military Base Hospital here, this last Thur.

We still don't know anything except that he has cellulitis in the leg[ we rather knew that already ]. After 3 blood cultures. and several CTs, kidney/bladder, and leg,it is ta dah.. Cellutlits. Nurse told both hospitals that. AAargh!. But he;s been on hi-tech ABX, so we'll seewhat effect it has!.. And lots of prayer, that helps the most so far!

Jus' Silverwolfi here

Hi there all'a y'all,

Trek, gets tired easily, but his leg is at least not any worse. Cellulitis can be hard to get rid of, I've had skin issues since I had it,in 2016. Trek's issue is also stubborn, more so than mine.

The V. A. worker who does the specialized chairs sent his buddy here [from chair company] and he adjusted more of the tech things w/ his computer and a small wrench. So now they will slowly get him used to the chair. He has been practicing sitting up and so on.

It may take awhile, but we are persistent people! So we'll see what happens!

Meanwhile we have more celebrations happening, November and December are special months for us!!!

BBL jus; that Silverwolfi!
