Hi gang Worst year i have ever seen for ticks. In the city of Eaton OH. my now home town is a lake beside the golf course on one side ,a city park on the other side.
The state stocked edible size trout in the lake,so i was there fishing. There is a terrible bunch of Canadian geese near there and ducks roaming about.
Well i got ticks on me,in my tackle, every were.Even on my folding chair.
I think the geese and ducks did it.

Yikes! Coud you identify the ticks? You didn't get bitten, did you? Of all the people I know who shouldn't have to go through any of this... I am so sorry. I hope there is a pier there where you can fish safely.

They were all brown dog ticks. Nasty birds, there is thousands of them here. They walk around the Walmart parking lot.
I live beside another lake, the docks at the marina are so covered in goose poop you can't even walk on them. I bark and chase them off, they wait out on the lake when i leave they come right back.
Tick birds .
