Happy Easter!

"Hop" on here to join us discussing our exercise and encouraging each other to keep moving forward.

Maybe you are walking, doing physical therapy, planting flowers or vegetables. Maybe just getting out of bed and doing a few small things is your exercise. That's okay.

Whatever exercise you can do we would love to hear about it or just tell us about your day.

Have a wonderful week! [group hug]

Happy Easter everyone!

Thanks Hiker for starting the thread.

Our early Easter dinner was great! Tons of leftovers for both of us. Josh reimbursed me for the groceries. He is so kind!

Today I watched an Easter church service that I livestreamed on Roku.

Even though I was busy yesterday I still squeezed in my leg strengthening exercises. Today I'm going to take a break and will read and watch TV.

See you guys tomorrow!

Ran a load of towels in the laundry.

Listened to National Cathedral morning prayer.

Then headed to my mom’s. Free car wash on the way due to the rain and then when it stopped a free blow dry from the wind. [Big Grin]

Ate lunch with mom. Tossed salad, ham, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetable medley, chocolate ice cream and coffee.

Then went to the little library there and got books for her. Organized her room. Tried to get mom to go outside as it turned sunny and was 70 but she didn’t want to. So, we sat and chatted.

Drove home and the took recycling to bins at the grocery store lot.

Read the newspaper on my iPad. (I discontinued it over a year ago but they keep sending it to me for free).

Finishing up the salmon tonight and baking the other half the of potato and steaming the rest of the asparagus.

Then reading and TV.

Way to go Maddog! What do you do you to for that?

I did my knee and feet exercises and rode the exercise bike for 35 minutes.

Picked up sticks in the yard from last night's storm.

Started to do a bit of weeding but didn't get much done before I called it quits. 40 mph winds with 50 degrees was not much fun.

Drank iced mocha coffee which I need to stop doing! Too much sugar and too much caffeine. [Eek!]

Called mom and then read and grounded.

Took a few books to the nearby library drop box. Will visit the public library later in the week.

Took garbage bin to the curb.

I grilled a turkey burger for dinner and steamed Calabacita grey squash and made a romaine lettuce salad.

Wind died down so I weeded the perennial bed on the east side of the house after dinner.

Chatted with my WI friend for an hour.

Now I plan on reading and watching a bit of TV.

Went for some bloodwork this afternoon to check my allergy status for seafood and had a tryptase check too.

Did some of my leg exercises there while waiting and finished them at home.

Polished off the rest of the potato salad and a deviled egg combined with mixed salad greens.

Froze the rest of the ham and need to take a break from eating.

Going to try and find something to watch on TV. I did buy quite a few war movies at the library book sale and might watch one of those.

Maddog that's alot of miles!

Hiker never heard of gray squash. Was it good?

See everyone tomorrow!

AK—hope that blood work shows some good results.

I did my balance and shoulder exercises.

Went grocery shopping. Lots of BOGO and I bought a lot of groceries this week. Separated the meat into smaller containers to freeze.

Also, picked up my prescription.

Went for a 30 minute walk. 70* and sunny and the wind behaved until this afternoon. [Cool]

Made my usual call to mom.

Boiled sugar and water to make my hummingbird nectar and filled the feeder after the mixture cooled down. I never get many hummers but am always thrilled to see them. Maybe a bit too early to have the feeder out but some have reported a few in the area.

Spent time changing passwords on various accounts. I do that several times a year.

Read and grounded.

Turkey burger again for dinner with grey squash. The squash tastes similar to zucchini. Making a romaine lettuce salad with carrots and strawberries. Ice cream for dessert.

Then a bit of TV and reading.

I did a bit of grocery shopping too. There's a store that's closing and I snagged some bargains.

Did my leg strengthening exercises.

Met Josh at his house to drop off some muffins that I made today and he took me out to dinner at the Chinese buffet.

Time to read for a bit.

Beautiful day here with temps in the 70’s, sunny and very little wind. Wild love these types of days year round.

Sprayed some pants, t-shirts, socks, hats, and gardening gloves with permethrin. Still need to do my shorts when I get them out as well as another pair of outdoor shoes. They sat on the drying rack in the sun all day.

Warmed up on the exercise bike and did my knee and feet exercises.

Went for a 35 minute walk around the nearby lake.

Went to Dollar General to get a few cards to mail out.

Called mom.

Read and grounded.

Am now baking a chicken breast and will steam broccoli and make a tossed salad for dinner.

Then some mindless TV and reading.

Way to go on the exercise Hiker!

I was a couch potato today. Was on the phone way to much and just finished talking with Josh a few minutes ago. Guess I worked out my vocal chords.

Elbow is bothering me and counting down the days to go for my MRI.

I'm hooked on my latest book, Mother-Daughter Murder Night, by author Nina Simon. She gave a talk at our local library last year and I bought a personally signed copy. Really enjoy her style of writing and love the characters.

So I'll be reading tonight too!

Maddog, you sound like the energizer bunny.

Did my balance and shoulder exercises.

Guy came to fix my storm door. Hurrah! He also tried to fix the latch on the front door that is broken (the one that stays shut all the time) but he said two piece of plastic had broken that keep the rod part in place and he couldn’t fix it.

I went for a 30 minute walk. 80* and sunny! [Cool]

Called mom. Then called DirectTV and ATT with questions about my bill.

Got out the patio and deck chairs and small tables. Then got the hoses out and hooked them up. Should have washed the chairs before I carried them up the steep stairs to the deck. Maybe the rain tomorrow will help clean them.

My hydrangea and spirea in the front aren’t looking so good. Hope I don’t need to replace them. The spirea in the back are looking fine.

Worked with the clematis to get the vines to intertwine with the lattice of the pergola.

Then sat and drank way too much caffeine again.

Grounded while reading. Will soon be grounding outside instead of using the mat. Need to rake the spiky balls from under the sweet gum tree first. [Smile]

Leftovers for dinner and then TV and finishing up a novel.

Did some grocery shopping for Josh and myself. He'll pick up his on Saturday when he comes over for dinner.

Did my leg strengthening exercises and 2 loads of laundry.

Elbow is bothering me so I'm sending another email on the patient portal tomorrow. It should not be hurting like this. I'm going to see if the doc can look at the xrays again and make sure it's not dislocated. Doesn't look like my other elbow so I'm worried. Been like this since January.

Might have to take a muscle relaxer and a quarter of a sleeping pill again.

Hiker I wish I can putter around outside. Looks like it's going to be 2 years in a row that I'm sidelined.

Maddog I'm the same way with trouble sleeping. It's a rare night that I can sleep without medication. FYI, I take Triazolam which works well for me.

Off to read!

I warmed up on my exercise bike and then did my knee and feet exercises.

I made a meatloaf and froze it.

I spent most of the day oiling my teak furniture. I only intended to do one room today, but I got going and did all of the furniture. I imagine I will be sore tomorrow. Feels good to have it all done! [Smile]

And it forced me to clear off my desk and get rid of old papers. Bonus!

Called mom.

Just ordered a Dominos gluten free pizza—half price deal. Heading out soon to pick it up. Making a tossed salad to go with it.

Then relaxing in my recliner tonight with a bit of TV and reading.

I was thinking about making a meatloaf for tomorrow Hiker! Found a pack of cube steak in the freezer so I'm going to make that instead. It was older than my frozen ground turkey.

Went and picked up a few more groceries this morning. I like Zevia soda sweetened with stevia but it's expensive. They had a BOGO sale so that's the only time I'll buy some.

Did my leg strengthening exercises.

My Dr's office messaged me back and said to just wait until next Friday when I get my MRI. They never offered any type of pain meds. Thank God I have my own. They're probably expired but they still work.

Still taking it easy and watching motivational documentaries to cheer myself up.

See you all tomorrow!

Ran a load of laundry.

Did my should and balance exercises.

Went to the public library.

Cut back my Bobo hydrangea. They don’t very leafy, though. [Frown]

Called mom.

Took a nap.

Read and grounded.

Had meatloaf for dinner with yellow squash and a spinach salad.

Some mindless TV and reading tonight. Am reading historical fiction on the building of the Empire State Building in 1930.
