I watched my local church service online.

Ran a load of laundry. Remade the bed with clean sheets.

Cleaned the kitchen and bathroom and after I vacuumed, I mopped the floors.

I did a tiny bit of yard work--trimmed back bushes that belong to my neighbors. They are poking through the chain link fence. Talked with the neighbors as I worked. I suspect they will get to their side of the fence and work on the bushes soon.

Filled the bird feeders. I need to go buy more Niger thistle for the goldfinches.

Very hot and humid. The early morning rain made it even more humid.

So, I decided to ground and read inside today after the yardwork rather than earth outside.

Worked on Bible study.

Called mom.

I will have a bratwurst again for dinner with salad and fresh garden tomatoes.

Then watching another movie. Last night I enjoyed "Freaky Friday" and realized I had never seen it. Tonight, I may get another laugh with "Kindergarten Cop."

Thanks Hiker for getting us going this week. I really like the adventure theme. I'll see what I can do to be more adventurous!

Well I had a couch potato kind of day. Took all the bandages off and cleaned the biopsy spots with alcohol wipes. Was careful not to clean the stitches and covered that one with a waterproof Nexcare bandage.

Emptied the dishwasher and noshed on leftovers.

Talked with a friend earlier today and Josh this evening.

Taking my neighbor to appointments the next couple of days.

BTW, my gyn doc is checking my vitamin D levels and parathyroid hormone levels. I noticed all my white blood cell counts are low. Hope is doesn't mean anything bad is going on. Might explain some of the fatigue I have.

Definitely need to get off devices and just read an actual book. All the screen time and WIFI can't be good for me.

Here's to better health gang!

Yesterday, I might have been out an hour in my power chair. I let my service dog off leash. She just trotted along side of me or in front of me for the most part.

The sun felt good on my arms and legs.

Today, I ateying to do a thing or two.

But, can not be on feet long. Less than 5 min.

Finally got 4 glasses put away and silverware

Made instant oatmeal and curcumin tea.

Not sure what I will do next get up.

Took butyric acid d k EPA supplements.

Considering getting a desk calendar so I can keep a record of what I take and what I am able to do and when I sleep thru the night etc.

I keep a log on my laptop now. It I can not go back and read it.

Memory is poor.

Forgetting what I just wrote and where I was going with it.

Hoping to find some of my old posts.

Do not know if they are under KAM or Rosie. I thought KAM. Ut I was not able to sign in.

Stopped using the site years ago as I had difficulty getting ba k on.

This time it went much better

Kam--Glad to see you back! I always knew you as Kam, so I hope you don't mind if I call you that.

Also, you are also listed in the directory under kam. (lowercase) bit use whatever works for you!

I use a desk calendar to record new supplements and my daily activity and how I feel that day.

I slept in a bit and then did my knee and feet exercises. Also rode the exercise bike for 25 minutes.

Now my knee is acting up again. And I am sure the snacks I had this weekend contribute to the inflammation. [rant]

So, I am back on my diet again and if the knee doesn't get any better, I will make an appointment with the orthopedist.

Took the grass trimmer and cut down the grass growing at the end of the drive. I have tried everything to kill the grass, but it is thriving.

Filled the bird feeders once again.

Since I had 3 days of caffeine in a row and didn’t have any today, I had a splitting headache. Took a 20 minute nap after lunch.

Called mom.

Sat outside and earthed for almost an hour. Really steamy and hot, though.

Worked on Bible study.

Took the garbage bin and recycling bin to the curb.

Defrosted meatloaf for dinner and am making a spinach salad and steaming some squash.

I will start a new novel after dinner.

Hi there Kam! Welcome back! Hang in there and do what you can. I still have good and bad days. Good days I overdo and now it takes me days to recover.

Hiker 25 minutes is a long time! I hear you about snacks. I did really well today, diet wise, and then started snacking after dinner.....sigh....

Up early so had time to work out the SI joint, both elbows, shoulders and knees. Still trying to find a good knee combo from the videos my friend sent.

Tomorrow I'm taking my neighbor at 11:30 to the cancer center. Hoping she gets the all clear.

See everyone tomorrow!

Baking day. All 32 loaves of bread are packed up and ready to go tomorrow morning.

Daughter was running low on flour & sugar so we placed a Walmart delivery order. Very nice on busy days.

Did the laundry and hung it all out on the lines to dry. Not quite everything was dry, so the damp things I left out overnight.

The dog is being a super big pain! Trying to carry around the little kittens. They are too compliant and don't run away like they should. Then they are all slobbery from his mouth and sometimes he accidently bites too hard and makes them meow.

I smacked him with a rolled up newspaper but he doesn't seem to mind - his eyes are still on those kittens He will carry one along out to the barn when I go to feed the animals and put the kitten in his dish of food.

He's not trying to hurt them, just likes carrying them aound. He will lick the bigger cats and they will stand there arching their backs for him.

Picked the zucchini and pickles this evening, and 1 row of green beans. I'm going to try canning the zucchini casserole we make. Won't add cheese to can it. We can add that when we open the jar to heat it.

Tomorrow will start a second batch of Seven Day pickles. Half my pickle plants blighted. One of the ladies from church has extra and will send them along home from work with the boys.

Started letting the guineas out around 5 or 6 pm when I go out to feed them. They come back in when it gets dark, so they aren't out long for the fox to fnd them.

Supper was corn on the cob, fried oysters or bacon for those who don't like oysters, fresh string beans, sliced tomatoes with egg salad on top, and fresh homemade bread with butter n strawberry jelly.

Hi Kam! Welcome back!

As usual, I’m late on last week’s exercise thread.

Monday
Felt better and went to an outside concert.🎵
Wasn’t gonna go due to the heat but came prepared with ziplock bag of ice and towel, but I left early.

Tuesday
Had a few kiddies over swimming.
My nurse came over to help me fill out ParaTransit forms but I couldn’t leave kids in pool alone. I asked if he would mind staying under umbrella table to complete the forms and he graciously said yes. Man, it was hot outside!

Wednesday
Doc appointment in the morning.
I told Doc “Please no bad news. I’m having the BEST summer in many many years and don’t want anyone to ruin it.”
She said you look well.

Later my 90 year old neighbor staggered over to drop off beans, tomatoes and zucchini, he looked so overheated, said this year’s garden has been the WORST garden he’s even seen.
We sat on porch and I made him drink a bottle of water and applied a cold towel around his neck.

Later pool party till 8pm. . . We Had So Much Fun!

Thursday
I was so tired due to overdoing my limits.
Rested all day and later did 50 laps around 7pm.
When will I realize that pushing myself only sets me back?

Friday
Had my pool buddy over and swan for 3 1/2 hours. If you’re wondering what we do in the pool that long, the answer is everything .
We pretend we are Olympic divers and score each other, dive for treasures, connect floats, make a wave pool and a whirlpool and fight over the massaging jets of water. We also ‘make it rain’ with squirt guns aimed straight up into the air.

Saturday
FINALLY RAIN 💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦
Sat on porch with cats and my iPad.

Sunday
Another day of rain.
Housework.
Made BBQ ribs, grilled peppers with olive oil and garlic and huge garden salad, enough food for a few days.
Caught up with friends and relatives on the phone.

Have A Great Week

BB--Sounds like you had another good week! [Smile]

Manna--I can just picture your dog with the kittens in its mouth! [Big Grin]

I did my balance and shoulder exercises.

Went grocery shopping. Bought only produce, peanut butter and a jar of green olives.

Took a short walk. Was not willing to push my knee too much.

Called mom and then sat outside and earthed.

Went to the chiropractor and then ran a quick errand.

Sat and read a bit.

Leftover meatloaf for dinner with spinach salad and broccoli.

I am almost to the end of novel and then I will probably start another one tonight.

I keep forgetting to put down my grounding! I'm grounding now and every few days ground for about an hour or so.

Manna I see 2 red flags in regards to your doggie. #1 kitten in the food bowl and #2 licking (tasting) the cats! [lol]

I'm just kidding! He reminds me of my Rocky who was carrying a baby bird around in his mouth. I had no idea what he was going to do with it so I made him drop it.

BB glad you didn't get any bad news at your Dr's appointment. Way to go on all the pool time! Oh and welcome to the club of overdoers! [Big Grin]

Hiker I hear you about the knees.

Up early and did my shoulder, elbow, SI joint and PT and knee exercises.

Took my neighbor to the cancer center for labs and noticed my foot was hurting so was limping along.

Later today my foot pain was ratcheting up. Well it's swollen on the underside where I had 2 biopsies done. I don't know if my knee exercises tweaked it or what. If it's still hurting I'll call the dermatologist office tomorrow and let them know.

So no walking for me. It's so hot down here so I'd have to go the mall.

I got a call from my GYN office and my vitamin D and parathyroid tests were normal. My doc didn't share with me why she ordered the tests but I suspect it was my labs from the ER last month.

So far my tests are coming back normal so I'm very relieved not to have any other issues to deal with.

See you guys tomorrow!

[hi]

Sunny day.

Picked yellow beans & roma beans. They are at peak producing - got 3/4 of a 5 gallon bucket full of each kind.

Mixed up a big batch of zucchini casserole and canned 12 quarts. Also canned 4 quarts of beans to fill the canner.

Started the second batch of 7 day pickles. There's a bag full to make into sweet dill pickles tomorrow.

Brought in all the wash I'd left out overnight. Hung up the shirts, dress pants, and dresses. The rest is still waiting to be folded.

Baked whoopie pies this evening.

I overdid it today and will pay for it tomorrow.

Walked 20 minutes and then did my knee exercises.

Went for a visit with my mom--120 miles round trip.

Gassed up the car when I got to my town.

Got out my lawn chair and started to earth, but then saw all the yard work that needed to be done.

Watered the flowers.

Did some weeding. So much more to do.

Cut back my peony bushes. When they start to get mildew on them, I cut them down to the ground.

Put some ant killer down around the house. Seeing too many big nests.

Am cooking a chicken breast for dinner and steaming broccoli. Finishing up the garden tomatoes in my spinach salad.

Then reading in my recliner.

Hi you guys! Seems like everyone is spending time outdoors. It's still hot as an oven down here.

Skipped all my PT and exercises today. Went to pick up food at the vegan restaurant.

Visited my Mom's bestie trying to setup auto pay for DirecTV with no luck. She doesn't remember who set up an existing online account so I wasn't able to get the code sent to my phone. It was going to 2 other numbers.

Very frustrating trying to do things for her because too many folks are trying to do the same thing online. Sheesh!

From there took the vegan food to Josh's for dinner. Later we went to Dairy Queen for a dipped cone. I played with Juno puppy while he did school work.

Cleaned my toe with peroxide and put Neosporin antibiotic ointment on it and a bandage. It definitely is infected a bit.

Glad I'm home at a decent hour and am going relax and check out the news and read a bit.

Goodnight friends!

[hi]

AK--Does your mom's bestie have an email address you could use for that DirectTV?

Manna--I had to look up what a Roma bean is.

I did my balance and shoulder exercises.

I went to Wild Bird's Unlimited where I always get Niger Thistle and suet. Had a coupon that was getting ready to expire.

For a while I am only going to put out the thistle for the finches. They are going through the safflower like crazy and a lot is ending up on the ground.

When birds start migrating again, I will refill the feeders with safflower or mixed seed. I do need to get my hummingbird feeder ready to go, though.

I also went to the public library. It has been totally renovated in an 18 month process. First time I had been inside. Wow! Picked up 2 books on hold and used the new scanner check out machine.

Normally I use "Curb It" where they bring the books to my car, because I can't carry very many while using the trekking poles, but I grabbed my backpack for these two books.

Went to the audiologist for a hearing aid check. She cleaned ear wax from one ear as well. The ENT charges $140 for that. She charges $0. [Smile]

The two universities and the community college in town have started up again, so no matter where I drive I have to watch out for students who aren't paying attention. I much prefer it when students are gone for the summer. [Wink]

Picked up a caffeinated beverage that I really didn't need as it had sugar. I didn't read the label as I didn't have my glasses on and it also has fake sugar which I don't like. But I drank it anyway. [shake]

Earthed outside for an hour.

Sprayed the grass and weeds at the end of the driveway although nothing seems to kill it.

I am making chicken salad out of leftover chicken for dinner.

Then reading.

Dinner sounds good Hiker! I fried up a frozen beef patty and onions and put it on a toasted bun with cheese, mayo, ketchup and fancy mustard for dinner.

My Mom's bestie's kids set up her email and online account so hopefully they'll deal with DirecTV.

Went to 2 grocery stores today. Josh text me a small list so got our groceries and came home.

My Mom's bestie stopped by so tomorrow after a lunch date I'll stop by her house and go through paperwork for the things she needs to apply for VA benefits. Her husband was exposed to agent orange like my Dad and both of them died in their early 70's.

It's a shame but I'm hoping she will get extra money.

Again no exercise and I am exhausted for some reason.

I'm struggling to stay awake and it's not even 7:00 p.m.

See you all tomorrow!

AK--So kind of you to help out your mom's bestie.

Watered the flowers.

I did my short bike warm up and then my knee and feet exercises.

Paid some medical bills.

Went to lunch with some gals from my Bible study. We went out for Mexican food and talked for a long time. [Smile]

I took down my safflower feeders, took them apart, and cleaned them. Put them back together after they dried. They are very old feeders--probably 30 years old and are a pain to clean. I won't put them back up for a few weeks.

Called mom.

Earthed outside for 45 minutes.

Made a spinach salad and also had cantaloupe for dinner.

Got antsy so did tomorrow’s balance exercises tonight.

Ready to read.

I had so many weeds in one area of my yard where spirea grow, that I got out my shovel this morning and spaded it all up. I am sure the weeds will appear again soon, though.

Vacuumed the car and then swept out the garage.

Ran a load of laundry.

Did my shoulder exercises.

Called mom.

Tried a new local spot for coffee this afternoon and now I am too caffeinated. But at least it is regular coffee and not a sugary mocha frappuccino. [Big Grin]

Earthed outside this afternoon for almost an hour. Tomorrow the temps will be in the 70's!

Since I cooked a good lunch--salmon, asparagus and a fresh garden potato (from a friend), I am just going to have a tossed salad, strawberries, and cantaloupe for dinner.

May watch a movie (Grand Torino) or may just read tonight.

Hiker that's a great movie! Josh says Clint Eastwood's role in the film reminds him of his Papa, my Dad.

You've been killing it with the exercise and yardwork too!

I didn't do PT or exercises yesterday but did all my PT today. Noticed my elbow was hurting so back in the brace.

So tempted to trim the bushes but don't want to sweat since I have stitches on my abdomen. Getting those itchy suckers out Friday.

I cooked up a storm today! Started by roasting baby carrots and small potatoes with olive oil, salt and dill.

Made boneless country style ribs with a dry rub in my new toaster oven and boiled some corn on the cob.

Also baked 6 pre-made Nestlé tollhouse chocolate chip cookies for dessert with ice cream.

We watched a movie based on a true story about murders in the English Moors.

Played with Juno puppy too.

Had a great time!

See you all tomorrow!
