Lyme disease is the most common tickborne illness in Ohio, and the number of [reported] Lyme disease cases in the state have significantly increased during each of the past three years.

- 554 in 2022

- 1,301 in 2023

- 1,788 in 2024,

- 2,417 so far in 2025 { as of 10/24/2025},

(according to data from the Ohio Department of Health Infectious Disease Dashboard)
