I've been having constant conversations with people who think he just committed suicide and shouldn't have.
His diagnosis was Lewy body dementia. One of our exLymenetters, Betty, had a husband who died from Lewy body dementia. She had his brain analyzed and they found spirochetes in his brain. It was Lyme-related.
Reports mention Robin Williams was dealing with depression and anxiety from 2012 on. That he had trouble with insomnia. These are common Lyme symptoms.
He couldn't handle the loss of his quick mental facility nor the loss of his physical comedy.
What I'm sorry about is that it's been reported that he kept his growing symptoms a secret from the public.
That, I think, is a fatal flaw. Those of us who would be able to recognize his symptoms would have contacted his family to let them know to check on Lyme and get him treated.
I think it's not a good idea to hide one's symptoms because enough other folks will be going through a similar scenario and will be able to let us know what may be happening.

Yes, but he would have been inundated with messages from everyone who thought they recognized his symptoms.

Thanks for posting Robin123.
Yes, there are published journals that prove Lyme disease can be found in autopsies from Lewy Body brains.
In a study written by Alan B. MacDonald in 2022, published in the Medical and Clinical Research Journal, it is hypothesized that since ASYN intrinsically binds human nuclear DNA, it may also complex with foreign DNA content found within Lewy bodies of DCLBD patients.
