I watched the National Cathedral church service online.
Ran 2 loads of laundry and put fresh sheets on the bed.
Vacuumed some of the house and then vacuumed the car.
Cleaned out the storm grate by the mailbox again.
Filled the bird feeders.
Called my mom.
Watched Illini basketball while grounding.
Worked on Bible study.
Since I did drink a frappucino today I will not spend money on pizza for dinner. Instead, I will have an Amy's gluten free bean, rice, and cheese burrito and a tossed salad topped with zucchini, carrots and sliced strawberries.
Then starting a new novel and I will probably watch a recorded show.

I washed my winter robe, a couple of scarfs, hats and some yarn non-slip booties getting them ready for storage.
Also changed out the winter comforters. I need to wash them but I'll take them to the laundromat another time.
Printed my tax paperwork in preparation of doing my taxes on TurboTax.
Had a yogurt drink for breakfast, yogurt and fresh strawberries for lunch. Found a slice of pizza in the freezer so popped it in the toaster oven to heat up for dinner. Later I had a mixed green salad with croutons with an easy homemade dressing. Had half a cookie for dessert and a cup of tea.
I've been sleeping in my Mom's room because it has my firm extra-long twin bed which has more support. I'm still using the wedge pillow because of acid reflux but might try to wean myself off and use my couple of pillows next week.
Also I can watch TV in her room. I have a TV in my room but I moved it onto a hope chest which is to low so I can't see the screen.
I think my old TV stand in the shed might work...fingers crossed!
See you guys tomorrow!

AK--Sounds like you got a lot done when you got home. DO NOT OVERDO IT!
I did my 5 minute bike warmup and then my knee and feet exercises.
Windy but warm so I walked for 35 minutes and managed not to blow away. Low 70's today.
Called my mom.
Took the car to the bay at the car wash and used the wand to clean it up good. The automatic wash doesn't always get the bottom 1/3 of the car as clean as I would like.
Grabbed java on the way home.
Filled the suet feeder for the woodpeckers.
Completed the puzzles in the paper while grounding. The Monday crossword puzzle is the easiest of the week.
Continued reading my mystery novel.
Took the trash bin and recycle bin to the curb.
I boiled brats and now will broil them for dinner. Making a tiny lettuce salad with zucchini and strawberries.
I am totally out of fresh produce so glad tomorrow is grocery shopping day. I rarely eat frozen or canned vegetables.
As usual, I will watch a bit of TV and read after dinner.
Anyone else struggling with the time change?

I'm struggling with the time change too! I thought I was oversleeping.
I had a mixed greens salad with peas, pumpkin seeds, a boiled egg and croutons with my homemade quickie dressing for dinner.
Had my half a cookie and maybe 2 tablespoons of vanilla frozen yogurt for dessert.
I'll snack on something later. I'm trying to eat 6 small meals instead of 3 bigger ones. The problem I'm having is I don't think I'm eating enough.
I had a yogurt drink (3/4 cup) and then a couple hours later I ate a pear for breakfast.
Lunch was a rice cracker topped with hummus and a bit of my salad mix.
Later I had a chupa chup (similar to a tootsie pop) and a mini Coke while driving to my GP appointment.
I called them today and I was thankfully squeezed in this afternoon. I have an eye infection which has caused some swelling and pain.
I probably overdid it today. I picked up 3 weeks worth of wind blown trash in my yard and after my GP appointment went to my fav grocery store to have my RX filled.
So my side aches a bit from all the activity.
It was nice to be outside though.
Thanks to the time change even though it's only 9:14 I'm going to bed.

I have been keeping an eye on the weather. It is 80* today and we are supposed to get severe weather. We are at a level 4 out 5 for tornados and hail the size of tennis balls. This is crazy for March here in IL.
So, I packed a backpack with emergency supplies like water, flashlights, my phone and charger, my meds etc. in case later tonight I need to head to the basement.
Leftover brat for dinner with steamed broccoli and a spinach salad.
Then TV and reading as usual.

I had a pain management appointment today. It went better than I expected. I basically can take meds only when needed and not the every 8 hours they insisted on before.
Also when I have other surgeries I have to inform them so they can OK it with my pharmacy to fill other pain meds if they're stronger.
Lot of hoops to jump through but hoping I won't need them in the future.
Picked up some groceries and headed home.
Had a salad for dinner, the same as yesterday's. Noshed on organic tortilla chips and frozen yogurt while watching a chick flick.
See you all tomorrow!

I already ate my dinner salad at 5:00. I'm sure I'll nosh on something later.
Today I was a bit tired so took it easy.
I made an appointment with my allergist (annually) who treats my MCAS.
Also went ahead and made appointments with another allergy clinic to test me for metal allergies.
My regular allergist recommended them.
My appointments are in April.
My regular allergist is about an hour from me and the other allergist is 2 hours away in Atlanta.
One appointment is on a Monday, two on Wednesday and the last on Friday.
Normally I'd be OK with it but hope I'm up for all the driving.
I'm doing this to prepare for shoulder surgery to make sure I don't have a reaction to the metals in the shoulder implant.
I did sit outside today on the front porch but came in before it got to hot. Our high was 87° already!
See everyone tomorrow!

AK--What a pain to drive to Atlanta 3 times but obviously with MCAS a wise idea to be tested.
I did my 5 minute bike warm up and then my usual knee and feet exercises.
Then rode the exercise bike for 30 more minutes.
Called my mom.
Went and got a coffee. Yesterday it was 81*. Today it was 36* with a rain/snow mix.
Paid bills.
Read a tiny bit and grounded.
Also talked a long time on the phone with my friend in FL.
I am cooking a chicken breast for dinner and having broccoli again along with a spinach salad.
Then reading.

Sunny at times today, with occasional showers. Still warm at 11 pm - 77*.
Fed and watered the birds and animals.
One of the roosters was getting picked on by the other 5 roosters, so I let him live in the guinea pen. Until last night, when he chsed the guinea back out of the pen when they were coming in at bedtime.
So I caught him & popped him back in with the roosters for overnight. By the time I got out this morning, he was hiding his head in the corner of the pen because they were picking on him again.
So I scouted around outside and discovered I could build a pen for him and he'd have a shelter in an old pen the former owners left here. Got him situated in his pen. At first he was trying to get out, but by this evening he was sitting comfortably in the hay.
Now I need to get the guinea that is living with the laying hens & put her in with the guineas. She is already laying eggs, but of course they aren't fertile so we can't collect them for hatching. The others haven't started laying yet. Want to hatch some in hopes of selling some.
Pulled a few weeds and transplants a few creeping phlox plants on the front banks.
Lifted the crates I had put over the places I planted daffodils & hyacinth last fall. Found 1 hyacinth laying on top of the ground. Replanted it.
Some of the pansies are growing from ones I let out last fall.
Built a house from old baking racks and wrapped string lights around it and set it under the tree out front. We had enough sun today to power the solar light tonight.
Finally got our taxes ready!!
Hubby said he planted 3,000 seeds so far. He transplanted only a few. There are lots that will soon be ready. I'll need to clear off more shelf space for his plants. Hopefully the boys can help him get his temporary greenhouse built soon. With more light longer in the evenings it should go faster.
Got a letter from my daughter-in-law, so I wrote one to send back to her.
Supper was baked sweet potatoes, steaks, green beans & a lettuce salad.

Manna--I always love your critter stories. I also like creeping phlox. You are getting very creative making use of items to grow your plants!
I did my balance and shoulder exercises.
Attended my women's Bible study.
Was pretty toxic today--think I picked up a slight cold from mom's nursing home.
But I did walk 20 minutes. 45* and sunny.
Wind advisory tonight and tomorrow with 50 mph winds.
So, I went to grocery again to get some items I had on raincheck. Figured I would be better off going today than tomorrow.
Read and grounded.
Filled the safflower feeder.
Changed the battery in my indoor/outdoor thermometer. Had to bring in the outdoor part so I could use my tiny screwdriver that I used to fix microscopes at school. I opened it up on the kitchen counter and a flood of ants came out. I couldn't believe how many were in there
Leftovers for dinner and then I may watch a little TV and continue reading the mystery novel I started the other day.

It was 36* this morning when I got up.
Baking day. 31 loaves of bread.
Also did laundry. Still have 1 basket to fold.
Sonny is packing for a trip. Going to 2 cousins weddings a week apart. Hope the weather is good on his travels.
Sounded like there was some bickering in the rooster pen again. If they start picking on another one, I'll probably put him out with the first one. Hopefully both underdogs will get along ok? maaaybe?
We didn't have any bad storms or lots of rain. But we did get enough to completely fill the pond and it overflowed. Apparently the overflow pipe has clogged.
Discovered one of the cats is napping up on the roof of the summer kitchen. Wonder why she sleeps up there?

Today I had to pick up more meds and bought a cream cheese bear claw at my fav grocery store.
Thought I'd take a chance to visit with my Mom's bestie and thankfully she was home. Sometimes she doesn't answer her phone so I have to just show up.
We shared the bear claw and had cups of tea and chatted away.
She was concerned that I've lost so much weight but I reassured her that I was getting better.
Of course all the weight I lost was muscle from arm injuries and not being able to get around well from the gallbladder pain.
What scares me the most is that I'm pretty weak and not very steady on my feet.
It's going to be a long road to recovery.
I drove to Josh's later and we went to pick up Mexican fast food. His little Juno was so happy to see me! I was happy to see them too!
I planted creeping phlox too along part of the fence where I built a berm with gravel and dirt. It was an attempt to stop erosion. It didn't work and the phlox didn't survive. I just lined that part with concrete blocks now and it looks awful. One of the many chores on my list of things to do.
Loved reading the posts and see you all tomorrow!

AK--Just take it day by day and soon you will regain your strength. Go slow and I don't want to hear of you messing with those concrete blocks!
Manna--My friend's kitten naps on their roof, too.
I warmed up on the exercise bike and then did my knee exercises and plantar fasciitis exercises.
Did a bit of spot cleaning here and there.
Called my mom. She popped another button off a blouse but was unable to tell me the color of the button or the color of thread I would need to bring the next time I visit.
So, I will bring a bunch of buttons and different colored threads next time I go. My mom now can't hear me even when I use my landline. Part of not being able to answer questions is her dementia but a lot of it is her poor hearing and that makes me sad.
Extremely windy today, so I just stayed home.
Spent an hour on Bible study.
Watched the Illini-Wisconsin game this afternoon and grounded.
Read a little bit.
I am just having a spinach salad for dinner tonight. Then some TV and reading.

Hiker hang in there! It's sad when our loved ones can't hear us.
Today I was tired again. Saw my wheelbarrow and large lawn debris bin was blown into the back yard. Went outside and put them back in place.
My neighbor across the street saw me so he was leaning on my fence and talking away. I so wanted to lean on the fence too. My legs started to shake from standing to long so I had to excuse myself and go back in the house.
He wanted me to come and meet his Mom but I told him I had surgery a month ago and couldn't walk that far.
Next Friday I have a colonoscopy appointment and I sure hope I'm up for that.
I think if the weather's nice tomorrow I'm going to sit on the porch and read a bit.
See everyone tomorrow!

Windy here today too. Heard a piece of tin flapping on the one shed.
The goats door blew shut again, but thankfully they were all inside and it was time to shut them up for the night.
Also the wind blew enough that the chicken fence lifted up enough that at least half of them escaped. I propped the fence up with 2 fence posts and then went around the fence a couple times till I got most of them in. Still had 3 outside.
Got my exercise climbing the hill and going round the chicken fence.
Two of the chickens were in with the guineas, one of them came out and followed me in to the chicken pen when I took water out for them. The other one is still in with the guineas. Will catch her tomorrow.
Didn't see the 3rd hen. So she either figured out a way to get into the chicken pasture or is hiding under the chicken barn.
Watered most of the plants today. Started picking out some house plants to sell.
Placed a grocery order for tomorrow morning.
Sonny packed his car and drove to work by himself this morning. He left a little before quitting time and headed up to my brother's place for the week. He gave us the link to follow his progress on google maps. He arrived safely 4 1/2 hours later.
Supper was baked bbq chicken, french green beans, potato filling, gravy, & salad eggs.

Made a healthy lunch of salmon, baked potato and asparagus.
Called my mom.
Filled 4 bird feeders.
Grabbed the ladder to change a light bulb. Balance exercises are paying off but I won't go above 2 steps on the ladder.
Went to the library.
Then went to the Honda dealer to get a new battery for my key remote. They give the battery for free and install it. I changed it just 2 months ago myself but must have bought a bad battery.
Grabbed coffee on the way home.
Did my newspaper puzzles and grounded.
Worked on Bible study.
Happy Pi today. I think I will call and go pick up a gluten free pizza from the local pizzeria to honor Pi day. And I will make a tossed salad.
Then reading and maybe some TV.

Washed towels n bedding today. Then decided to wash the bathroom carpets also.
Filled the goats hayrack so I don't need to do it tomorrow.
The brown and the white hen are back in the chicken pen. Both had gone in the people door when I let it stand open. Then just had to push open the door into the pen n they walked right in. The black hen is still out.
Sewed most of the quilt patches together this afternoon. Hoping to finish it up tonight.
Need to water the rest of the plants.
Both amaryllis blooms are over and 3 more have buds coming. I want to put a marker on each one so I know what colors they are.
Daughter made spaghetti, salad & garlic bread for supper.
Hoping the solar lights on my baking rack house light up tonight. We had plenty of sunshine today.
Should soon be dark enough to go shut the barn doors for the night.

Loved reading the posts tonight.
I stayed way to late at Josh's tonight. I took some chili that I had in the freezer and he made hotdogs for dinner.
We watched some Star Trek Voyager episodes which we both enjoy.
His little Juno is doing better and the vet appointment Friday went great. No sign of heart worm activity so has 2 more weeks of resting with short walks then a final appointment.
I sat outside on the porch and chatted on the phone with my neighbor.
The pollen down here is awful and my car is just coated. Normally I'd wash it but am just going to add it to my chore list.
That list is getting longer and longer....
If I can psych myself up I might tackle my taxes tomorrow. A bribe might work too. Usually treats work for me.
See you all tomorrow!
