Drove over to mom's. Spent a lot of time testing different phones but she did not understand which buttons to push to answer them and she still could not hear.
So, put back her cordless phone and once again taught her how to use the speaker phone. Wrote out directions and taped them again by the phone. I am sure she will untaped them and lose them like she did with the last set.
We practiced 10 times and then I had my brother call and practice with her.
Ate lunch with her. Shrimp cocktail, post roast, vegetable medley and mashed potatoes. Chocolate cheesecake for dessert.
Drove the 75 minutes home and filled the car with gas.
Called Amazon as they charged my credit card again for something I returned. I already called them last month about it and thought it was corrected and it showed up again today.
Read and grounded a bit when I got home. Very toxic today.
Leftovers for dinner and then reading.

Feeling very toxic again, so rode the exercise bike for 35 minutes to get rid of some.
Dug a 10' by 2" plot and sowed the marigold seeds I collected last autumn.
Did some weeding in the flower beds.
Sat and earthed while reading. Felt good to sit outside. About 70* today and may be the only day this week without a lot of wind. Earthing got rid of more toxins, too, I believe.
Called my mom. She remembered to use the speaker phone! She still can't hear me well, but it is slightly better. Hurrah!
Talked to my brother for quite a while.
Took the landscape bin, recycle bin, and garbage bin to the curb. Filled the 2 safflower feeders.
I have wrens nesting in the bird house that hangs from my sweetgum tree. They were singing up a storm today!
Grilling brats for dinner. Steaming some snow peas and making a tossed salad.
Then reading and some TV.

Baking day and laundry day.
All the clean clothes are folded and put away.
My nephew called while they were shopping. Got a few things for us. They'll be bringing some things along for us when they come later this week.
Got my grocery order ready.
Supper was vegetable soup.
A friend of our boys bought a piano and ask for help to bring it home.

Went grocery shopping. Then picked up a prescription.
Watered the flower beds outside. Put down some diatomaceous earth around the house foundation. Lots of ants this year.
Did my bike warmup and knee and feet exercises.
Rode the exercise bike for 30 more minutes. Very windy this anfternoon and dust storm warnings out. Figured I would be better off inside with my allergies and sinus issues.
Called my mom. She has already forgotten how to use the speaker button on the phone so she couldn't hear me. She used it yesterday and we had a bit of a conversation.
Paid her medical bills.
Worked the newspaper puzzles and grounded. Started a new novel.
Leftovers for dinner and then some TV and reading.

Hubby & I carried in the grocery order and put things away.
Dumped 6 50lb bags of feed in the chickens feed bin. They were all setting on top of the bin, so I only had to open the bags and tip them over.
Helped Hubby move the table to a better spot so he can set his greenhouse plants outside.
Divided and transplanted the baby African Violets.
Baked whoopie pies.
Put more bird seed in the feeder.
Watered the creeping phlox on the front bank.
Fixed the steps into the guinea house.
Searching for gluten and dairy free recipes.

I did my balance and shoulder exercises and then rode the exercise bike for 30 minutes.
Another windy dusty day outside, so not great for walking.
Ran load of sheets and towels and remade my bed.
Put away winter turtlenecks, sweaters, and most long sleeve blouses and got out my short sleeve blouses and t-shirts.
Tech from HVAC company came to service the AC. Right now I don't need the heat (except to warm up in the early am) and I don't need the AC. But, I glad the AC is functioning well.
Did my usual newspaper puzzles and grounded.
Called mom. Since she has forgotten how to use speaker button she can't hear well. She called back 5 times to ask if I was doing okay, since she couldn't hear me say, "Yes, I am fine."
So, I researched amplified phones again, but they all require a button to be pushed to boost the volume and if my mom can't handle pushing the speaker button, she won't adapt to a totally new phone. Emailed the nursing home social worker for advice again.
Called around to see if any nurseries have potentilla in stock, but they don't. I wanted them to replace the bobo hydrangeas that died. I may leave those 2 spots empty until next spring.
Read a bit.
Cooking a turkey breast in barbecue sauce for dinner and steaming snow peas. Making a mixed greens salad.
Then some TV and reading.

Got up and for some reason my left hip hurt. Bet I slept wrong, but aging is not for the faint of heart.
Ran a load of laundry.
Did a 5 minute bike warmup and did a lot of stretching before my knee and feet exercises. Didn't use any ankle weights today.
Make a nice lunch of baked salmon, half a baked potato and steamed asparagus.
Called mom.
My car fob battery is dead again. I bet something is wrong with the fob because I have replaced the battery 3 times in as many months. But Honda was closed so I just went a bought a new battery. Got coffee while I was out.
Read the paper and did the puzzles. Then read some of a novel and grounded.
Leftovers for dinner and then maybe some TV and probably finishing up that novel.
