Welcome to the exercise thread. [woohoo]

Let us know what you do daily for exercise.

It doesn't have to be a lot or you can do oodles--walking, yardwork, swimming, physical therapy, shopping, cleaning etc.

Have a great week! [hi]

Fireworks in my small city were great last night. [Smile]

Today I watched the National Cathedral church service online.

Ran a load of laundry.

Filled bird feeders and cleaned out the storm grate.

Decided to do tomorrow's exercise today as I need to drive over to visit my mom tomorrow. So, I did my knee and feet exercises and rode the exercise bike for 37 minutes.

Called mom.

Read and grounded this afternoon.

Making a lettuce salad for dinner and finishing up the cocktail shrimp from last night.

Then reading.

I did my balance and shoulder exercises.

Drove the 65 miles to my mom's and spent time with her, including lunch. Drove home and gassed up the car.

Received a letter from BCBS insurance saying my GP is no longer covered. A bit of a panic there. Called BCBS and they gave me a form to fill out for continuing coverage for a year but I needed info from the doctor office. That call took almost an hour as I kept getting transferred around. [Eek!]

So, called the doctor's office and they said they were in the process of renewing with BCBS and I was still covered and since my blood tests are not until September, all would fine without the form, although they gave me the info. So, less of a panic, now.

I have had a really hard time finding a doctor I like and would not want to pay out of network for her, nor do I want to switch doctors. Plus I use the physical therapy there sometimes and urgent care and God forbid, the hospital.

Took the garbage and recycling bins to the curb.

I am having a turkey burger, zucchini, and a lettuce salad for dinner. Then relaxing with some TV and reading.

Baking day.

Also did the laundry. All folded except 2 baskets full.

The evening we went down to the garden and laid newspaper & cardboard between the rows of sweet potatoes & potatoes.

Pulled some weeds in the tomato rows.

Very unhappy to discover a deer has been chomping away on the fruit trees in the orchard. I have some deer away spray to try to keep them away. Will put it on the trees tomorrow.

Manna- I went out to water this morning and something had eaten every single marigold (about 20) to stubs. Wasn't deer, though. [Eek!]

Bike warmup and then knee exercises.

Went grocery shopping.

I did walk about 25 minutes after shopping. Filled the bird feeders.

Went to the chiropractor.

Took a long nap.

Read and grounded.

Leftovers for dinner and then some TV and reading.

Hker, its so disappointing to find your plants eaten. Something was eating my marigolds beside the house. Someone thought slugs might eat them.

Got up early and worked in the garden until it got too warm. Sprayed molasses water on the beans, & cole plants. There are already bugs on the beans.

Saw we will need to pick yellow beans this week. And possibly the roma beans by the end of the week. The green beans are a little later. Full of blossoms.

Daughter came down this morning saying she has 2 spots on her back that really hurt.... When I looked - it was a bee sting! Apparently it crawled inside her clothes and stung her twice.

I taped a slice of onion on the stings and a few hours later there was no redness or swelling.

Worked at the little girls dresses I'm sewing for a short time.

Baked whoopie pies this afternoon.

After supper gave each tomato plant 2 cups of banana peel water. Soaked banana peels in water for 24 hours (or longer)and then filled the bucket with water.

Pulled weeds until it was too dark to see which was a plant and which was a weed. One of the cats was down with me, tearing around and occasionally pouncing on my through the weeds.

And now its raining! A nice gentle shower. Was thinking if it doesn't rain we should water the garden.

Supper was tomato soup and ice cream for dessert.

Manna-- I didn't know onion worked for bee stings. When I was stung by a wasp last year I soaked my finger in water mixed with baking soda and that kept the swelling and pain down.

I did my balance and shoulder exercises today.

Rode the exercise bike for over 30 minutes.

Went to lunch with 2 friends. Mexican food--taco, enchilada, and rice for less than $10 and it wasn't fast food.

Paid bills.

Called mom.

Read and grounded a little bit.

Cooked a pork chop for dinner, steamed broccoli and made a spinach salad.

After dinner I filled 3 bird feeders. Took some pics of weedy plants to identify that I would like to dig up. Burdock and nightshade. All along one side of my property. Going to be a fun task. [Frown]

Did 2 loads of laundry.

Cleaned up after the dog. He's getting to old to go far away to do his business.

Have the all the sleeves hemmed and the first two dresses are ready for the skirts. Will see if I have time to work at it a little more tonight.

Supper was diced potatoes & sweet potatoes with italian seasoning baked in the oven, pork chops, buttered beets & green beans. For dessert, peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream.

After supper placed a grocery order.

Did the barn chores except shutting doors. Not everyone had gone inside yet. Must run out and shut doors now. Its dark so everyone should be inside!

Went down to the garden & pulled weeds in the asparagus patch. The cat came to help again. This time had a pair of dark gray birds, 'talking' at us. I'm guessing they didn't like the cat.

Heard a sound in the woods between me and the neighbors property. Wasn't sure what it is..... Decided its a deer making that sound. Threw a stone into the woods and whatever it was ran, still making that noise.

Came in and googled sounds that deer make - yup! it was a deer. Hope I scared her enough to not come back tonight.

Need to mix up the sourdough bread and get things prepared for baking day tomorrow.

The promised rain did not materialize so I watered the flowers and did some weeding. Turned into a very hot humid day.

Did my balance and shoulder exercises again and then rode the exercise bike for 30 minutes.

Washed the sheets and remade the bed.

Called mom.

Read and grounded. Also worked the newspaper puzzles. Trying not to let my brain degenerate. [Big Grin]

Leftovers for dinner and then some TV and reading.

Did my bike warmup and knee and plantar fasciitis exercises.

Did some yard work--dead headed the moonbeam coreopsis and pulled weeds. The creeping charlie is running not creeping into my flower beds.

Called mom.

Read the paper and did the puzzles.

Took a nap.

Read a bit of a book and grounded.

Made meatloaf and will have some for dinner with a spinach salad and green beans.

Then going to finish up the mystery novel I am reading.

Pretty quiet day here.

Did a load of laundry.

Went to the public library as I do every week.

Called mom.

Filled the bird feeders and pulled off the buds on the mums. Probably this will be the last time and then I will just let them bloom.

Cut the stems back on one peony as they were collecting mildew. The other one can wait.

Paid bills etc.

Leftovers for dinner and then maybe a movie and reading.
