To all my neighbors of all nations, here is an Open Statement concerning
the artificial sweetner, Aspartame, by Arthur M. Evangelista, a former FDA Investigator...

I am a former investigator who worked with the US Food and Drug Administration: This is what I have to say about Aspartame and the people who brought it to our tables.

As a former FDA investigator, I was charged with overseeing two major projects for the FDA. These concerned Pesticides and Chemicals in Foods and Illegal Drug Tissue Residues in Animals (including milk related issues).

I worked closely with the sister Federal and State agencies, oversaw contracts, I was a co-ordinator and lead investigator on projects involving EPA and USDA. The FDA, in the mid-70's to mid-90's was not a large organization, having an annual budget no greater than a medium-sized hospital by 1995.

The problems with aspartame include not only the biochemical nature of this toxin but also it sheds light on the political nature of the players involved. The changes in regulatory policies and regulations resulting from corporate-government ties and the politicians closely associated with these ties.

What I can tell you, regarding toxicology, histology and biochemistry, is that aspartame is neurotoxic. Its components easily transcend the blood-brain barrier, interfering with normal nerve cell function. This affects the glutathione and calcium mechanisms in place, destroying nerve call integrity. The methanol then breaks down into formaldehyde-formic acid components, which denaturizes/mutates the DNA: a known scientific fact. The subsequent result from this interaction and from isolates of genetically modified amino acids, the methanol, is nerve cell necrosis and subsequent organ system degradation.

The hypothalamus alone (the major controller for much of the endocrine system), is at especially high risk to these effects...thereby, affecting many other organ systems. I have seen first hand the effects on symptoms when individuals have abstained from ingesting the artificial sweetener, aspartame. Make no bones about it, aspartame is a major factor in many symptomologies due to its effects upon brain chemistry.

ORGANIZED RHETORIC

Coming from a family and relatives of physicians, I know only too well that if there was even a chance that something was wrong with a patient, a truly committed physician would thoroughly investigate any etiology (or cause) regarding an illness (both chronic and sub chronic), rather than retain a close-minded approach to the available data. This just boggles my mind when those, who are supposed to know better; choose to adhere to the organized rhetoric of industry-backed misinformation, without giving the true scientific facts an opportunity to sink in. At the least, consider the possibilities. I guarantee, the truth will then become self-evident!

The biggest lie told, is one of self-deceit; not to mention, all the people made ill and killed in the process of 'ignorant medicine' eg a doctor has sold his skills and MD diploma to industrial chemical manufacturers, pharmaceutical firms or even to governmental associations!! Money is money...right,Doc?

Prior to the approval of aspartame, the FDA sent two specialized teams to G.D. Searle and found a ghastly 95% level of misdirected testing; concealed tests, collusion between corporate and their company-funded research; inappropriate antemortum issues; withholding of material facts; alterations of records: lying to investigators, lost records, no records; falsification of reports, bribery, poor test methodology or design...et al.

FDA investigators Brodsky and Bressler, both seasoned federal investigators, each led investigative teams to review Searle's lab practices. These practices at Searle were despicable and should have been thrown out. This is a fact. This was further corrupted by politicians involved with corporate constituents who in turn affected the regulatory process in favour of these constituents. Another name for this, of course, is 'bribery'.

FAVORABLE INFLUENCES

This was nothing less than full-blown collusion. The 'revolving door' at the FDA, is very much a reality. Former corporate officials, who began working for the Food and Drug Administration (and vice versa), were very cavalier about issues uncovered at Searle surrounding their drug processing and issues involved with aspartame. Some, with a hidden agenda of promised secret money or better jobs, actively hindered the investigation into G. D. Searle's laboratory practices. It is obvious when you see the records and numbers and where those jobs were. These are a matter of public and Congressional Record. Subsequently, many former FDA officials, due to their 'favorable influences' with regulatory enforcement and rulings, were in fact, rewarded with corporate positions and lucrative incomes, including former FDA Commissioner Arthur Hull Hayes, who was about to be brought up on ethics and misconduct charges!

The whole process was (is still) rotten throughout. The various dependent research completed on aspartame proves this (in part,a chemical warfare agent) is a neurotoxin. It is unlike any other compound on the market. Each of its three components are toxic.

The only people I have met or communicated with, who have steadfastly refused to look at this picture for what it is, have been found to have other agendas, other than the truth. Not even a sceptic, like my brother ( a chief microbiologist) could ignore the factual evidence of aspartame's neurotoxicity when presented with the evidence. Being a sceptic is one thing, but to deny the evidence, the motives and the pieces of a rather complex and sordid puzzle with common denominators, is ludicrous; you would have to be braindead. To still adhere to the narrow focus of the corporate spin-doctors and corporate-back rhetoric from federal regulators, means that you have clearly chosen to purposefully close your mind to the evidence and/o you are operating with a pro-industry (hidden) agenda.

There is rampant corruption in these processes and it behoves all educated, law enforcement and scientific-minded individuals to look at the entire picture to piece together one of the biggest travesties in public health history. The common thread which ties everything together is; the strong political influences, the monumental amounts of money used to purchase the souls of those who have placed greed above common sense, public health and the trust of public office.

REMEMBER AGENT ORANGE?

As an investigator, I found this hard to believe at first, that so many factors have come together to collude in such a way, to allow aspartame into our food supply. Regardless of how I initially felt about it, the evidence is factual ....it happened. Now we have to do something about it, because it is nothing less than MASS MURDER.

Additionally and historically, many recalled products, including FDA regulated products, were once thought safe. DDT was once thought to be safe, remember?

History of the regulatory problems, fraud, deceit and scientific corruption with various drug products would serve you well to remember here.

Regulatory problems and corruption resulting in mass-illness or deaths with various prescription drugs and drug-tissue residues in foods (antibiotics) which was known by the FDA since the mid 80's, perpetuating further our problems with antibiotic resistant germs.

Remember Agent Orange? How long did it take the US government to even acknowledge that there was a problem with spraying a dioxin compound all over the Asian forests during Vietnam? Monsanto never said a word during this period; no chemical manufacturer did. It was years before the veterans, who gave their lives or whose lives were ruined, were even given the acknowledgement that there was a problem. The Gulf War Veterans were in the same boat for a while. Maybe someone will pay attention to their plight.

Many policies, I found out, were not made to protect the public health, but rather, to provide leverage at appropriation time before Congress and to protect the industry and their political government. This is especially true when they were paid for their 'services' by the pharmaceutical or chemical industries. This is what I call 'social cancer'. Many systems for protecting the public health are (were) less than effective...making very little difference on public health issues. Much of it was for 'show' and for funding. It was the folks in Rockville and Washington who made the final decisions on how to play most of these issues out. Unfortunately for us, it was not to favor the public health processes. The entire process reeks of political and corporate influence. Many mainstream media newscats and reports have exposed this problem.

SPIN-DOCTORS

There are regulatory or enforcement agencies that have questionably close ties with industry, aside from an unethical revolving door. These ties are even illegal in some aspects and compromise an agency's ability to regulate. It compromises not only the integrity of the agency, but the information being disseminated, as well. Everything becomes suspect. Then the spin-doctors are called into action.

THE EVIDENCE IS THERE

So tell me then, why do government agencies support and make policies around industrial concerns, like pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing firms? The answer is easy: Money and/or power! Why aren't government agencies remaining impartial? Somebody has a little influence, that is why and, this influence is not in the public's best interest. Follow the money trail.

The truth has been difficult to come by. Investigators, lay people, teachers, educators, regulators and whistleblowers have, piece by piece, put this highly complex puzzle together and now see this issue for what it is. The evidence is there. Unfortunately, I have found that many physicians, including those who can make substantial incomes from treating the effects of the neurotoxin aspartame (and other medically 'healable' issues) would rather people did not find out about its effects on brain chemistry. Giving doctors the benefit of the doubt, if they do not consider aspartame poisoning as a cause for concern or instigator of symptoms, they are simply not very good investigators. Then may be the doctor should try carpentry or other non-patient related work.

In truth, doctors have a business. This is a sub-set of business treatment practices that is making money based on the introduction of a poisonous product. I also found out that the large government health association and many other so-called health groups, have received substantial money, contributions, or stipends from industry regarding their products.

BUSINESS GOES BEFORE PUBLIC HEALTH

This includes certain public health associations - the very people who are supposed to be helping the public, who for legal reasons cannot be named here, they like many others, diabolically support aspartame and the money it has made them. They are businesses... and business goes before public health. Look at any health association and check out the list of their contributors and tell me what you see.

FACTS:

Regarding aspartame, I have written articles about this substance, they explained the processes that allowed aspartame into the marketplace, through various reports and information uncovered whilst I was with the agency and afterwards, with the help of other investigators and agency data. Much of this information is available for review, you can draw your own conclusions.

Open your mind. Know that the government-corporate issues have shocked us before, to our collective dismay. I urge you to consider all the factors; ... the political, physiological and regulatory processes which created the mistaken and unfortunate acceptance of this toxin in our food supply. This information is not 'what I think' nor how I feel...

...It is a fact, that ASPARTAME SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN APPROVED based on the information submitted to the FDA, including the information that was not submitted. At every point in the fertility process aspartame destroys, beginning with the gleam in Mom and Pop's eyes. It ruins female sexual response and induces male sexual dysfunction. Beyond this, aspartame disrupts fetal development by aborting it or inducing defects. And if a live child is born aspartame may have heinously damaged the DNA of the baby, cursing future generations."

Is NutraSweet a Neurotoxin? You bet your aspartame! It's only appropriate use is as a rat killer and to kill fire ants.

So, I went off it for over 2 years and had the same problems. It was LD all along.

I now enjoy my Equal as I cannot have any sugar.

The poisons we put in our body are many and the list goes on and on. Pretty soon we won't be able to eat our brussel sprouts for some other reason.

I know there are some strong positions on here about this issue as it has been brought up before, but I need something sweet that tastes good and stevia just doesn't cut it nor does those pink packages.

We could walk outside on any given day and breathe more harmful substances into our lungs than the damage Aspartame may cause.

We live in a world of: today, studies show exhibit A is bad for you; tomorrow, studies show exhibit A is good for you (i.e. wine and other alcholol).

If we stayed away from everything that is not good for us, we couldn't eat or drink anything, including our own well water.

I stay FARRRR away from them now....

I felt that going outside and breathing in exhaust fumes were worse than drinking aspartame. I felt that we are all going to die of cancer or something due to the environment, what we eat, etc....

But I ended up going off it also with him. It just didn't make sense to continue to spend money on Diet Coke all the time.

In the end, we are both very happy we went off it. Our major tooth pain (we used to get pain at least ONCE a week, if not more) is completely gone and does not bother us at all. My husband and I both feel better and have more energy. And alot of my symptoms have waned or completely gone away. I feel better now than I have for the past year.

It turns into formaldehyde folks.

Get real...get off of it.

He told me that after one week I would not miss sugar anymore. I didn't believe him as I had always been a sweet tooth and I needed my daily chocolate or cookies or best both of them.

But he was right. After one week I didn't think of it anymore and I'm now completely sugar- (and sweetener-)free since October '03. No problem at all.

Simeon Margolis, M.D., Ph.D. and professor of medicine and biological chemistry at Johns Hopkins University, agrees. In a recent article, he wrote: "A letter recently circulating on the Internet stated that aspartame can cause a number of illnesses: multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), as well as Alzheimer's disease. As far as I can ascertain, there is no reliable evidence to support the claim that aspartame causes any of these disorders."

Responding to the claims that breakdown byproducts of aspartame are dangerous, he added: "While it is true that high heat can break down aspartame, there is no evidence that the breakdown products are toxic."

--------------- What IS aspartame (and what does it become)?

The "Pandora's box of chameleon-like toxins and tumor agents"

Aspartame was never and cannot be proven to be safe. It is not and
cannot be a diet aid because the formaldehyde (from the breakdown of the
10% methanol) gets stored in the fat along with some water. The
National Soft Drink Association did a 30-page protest in the '80s
(Congressional Record, Senate S 5511, 5/7/85) that complained that
aspartame is unstable, and that it reduces the levels of serotonin (a
substance that gives that "full" feeling) so aspartame induces a craving
for carbohydrates.

L-Aspartyl-l-phenylalanine methyl ester, 98%, aspartame CAS #22839-47-0
(a.k.a. Equal, NutraSweet, Spoonful, Benevia, Equal Measure, etc.) is
composed of (at least) three things:

1.) aspartic acid, (40%) CAS # 56-84-8 C4H7NO4 (L-Aspartic acid)
2.) phenylalanine, (50%) CAS # 63-91-2 C9H11NO2 (L-Phenylalanine)
3.) methanol (10%) CAS # 67-56-1 CH4O (Wood alcohol)

The phenylalanine breaks down into diketopiperazine (DKP), a known tumor
agent, and is the reason FDA mandated a PKU warning label
"PHENYLKETONURICS: Contains phenylalanine". Diketopiperazine was the
major impediment to approval noted in the Searle "Helling" memo
(http://www.dorway.com/secrets.html).

The methanol (without Ethanol, the natural antidote) breaks down in-
solution (diet coke, spit, etc.) into formaldehyde. The human liver
also breaks down "free" methanol from any solution into formaldehyde.
The body has difficulty eliminating formaldehyde so it combines some of
it with water and stores it in the fat. Formaldehyde not stored in the
fat is further converted to formic acid (same thing as fire ant sting
poison).

So, with each sip EVERY user gets a micro-dose of three poisons, two
of which (formaldehyde and formic acid) are known carcinogens... along
with that side-order of DKP, the tumor agent. A science report was done
on Diet Cokes and the results were evaluated by a reputable food testing
laboratory. The Lab proved the methanol - formaldehyde conversion
(even in unopened cans cooling off in the refrigerator) and that

Most of these 91 symptoms are noted on the

These symptoms were derived from what the FDA notes is the most
complained about substance in their history, at one time comprising
around 85% of all complaints. The total number of complaints FDA admits
is over 10,000 (a vast understatement because Mission Possible has sent
FDA thousands of reports they chose to ignore). Of note is that my two
CERTIFIED letters of complaint, one to FDA and another to DHHS, have
never been answered, which leads me to believe neither were counted.

FDA says less than 1% of victims report a problem. This balloons
their 10,000 complaints to over a MILLION victims who SHOULD have
complained! Please note that either number is significant, especially
for a "safe" food additive.

The proponents of aspartame admit to the 10% methanol content but
claim that fruit has more methanol. This is probably true, but where
they deviate from the truth is that nature included an abundance of
ETHANOL in fruit, the natural antidote to methanol poisoning. They omit
telling the public that aspartame has NO ethanol, which is why it is
unstable and breaks down into formaldehyde in unopened containers.

Products with aspartame in solution have an approximate 270 day shelf
life IF stored below 86 degrees F. Much less when stacked in the sun
outside a gas station!

A Nutrasweet Co. comment:

"Additionally, the comments about multiple sclerosis, systemic lupus
erythematosis, and Alzheimer's Disease being linked to aspartame are not
true. No one knows what causes these sad diseases, but they existed
many, many years before aspartame came to the market. There has not been
an "epidemic." Unfortunately these unsubstantiated statements have
frightened individuals and their families."

If "No one knows what causes these sad diseases" how can they rule
out aspartame? Simple logic nails them as liars on this one, too!

Nutrasweet also says that the amino acids in aspartame are "natural".
They are natural only IN COMBINATION with other amino acids... not
isolated as in aspartame.

Dr. Moser, the Nutrasweet spokesman, overstepped the boundary of
truth on National TV when he stated aspartame cannot get into the blood
and cause seizures. The RAO report, one of 15 "pivotal" (of seventy
four) G. D. Searle funded tests, proved that five of seven monkeys fed
aspartame-laced milk for a year developed seizures and the seventh one
died (but all data on why was "lost"). Dr. Moser privately admitted to
Jennifer Cohen (author of the Diet Coke science report):

"..the study should never have been undertaken, much less submitted as
legitimate observation. This particular experiment represents an
unpardonable breach in methodology." (H. Moser)

FDA's "pivotal" proof of safety is a bizarre inverted interpretation.
What might the other 73 Searle-funded tests reveal? Review FDA toxicologist
Dr. Gross's notarized statements to Senator Metzenbaum concerning brain
tumors (http://www.dorway.com/gross.txt) and FDA's Dr. Jerome Bressler's
76 page report of only ONE Searle test, which verifies brain, mammary,
ovarian and uterine tumors PLUS shrunken testes

Simply stated... "ASPARTAME is a Pandora's box of chameleon-like
toxins and tumor agents that have 92 FDA acknowledged ways to ruin your
life, death being one of them".

Damage caused by aspartame consumption is CUMULATIVE... it adds
up with each dose. Too often the FDA mandated warning label
"PHENYLKETONURICS: Contains phenylalanine" is hidden or illegally
omitted (with impunity).

Once a victim affirms that aspartame has been a significant factor in
their health problems they should collect all aspartame-laced products
and return everything for a FULL REFUND. Even, and especially so, if
the product has been opened and partly consumed. Let everyone know your
displeasure by making a big stink if the store REFUSES to give a full
refund... such that nearby customers become aware of WHY a customer is
unhappy and WHY you are demanding a full refund!

Then, everyone must pass this health-saving (and money-saving)
information around to friends, family, co-workers, doctors, clinics,
hospitals, church, PTA, schools, clubs, local governments, supermarkets

FANTASTIC progress in less than four years (on an almost zero budget,
with essentially no help from the medical system, government or the
media, and with NO interference from the highly litigious Monsanto). We
suspect that J. W. Childs will soon discover that aspartame was a bad
investment.

Eleven year old Jennifer Cohen from Oradell, New Jersey, chose
an experiment for her 6th grade science project that the FDA and
the manufacturer's of aspartame should have found to be an obvious
test subject. Using sound principles and double blind testing she
developed and ran her tests like a professional. Her goal was
simple: What happens to aspartame in diet coke? Upon completion
of her experiment a reputable food laboratory performed all the
necessary chemical evaluations and presented her with the startling
results. The laboratory data proved that aspartame breaks down into
formaldehyde and DKP (a brain tumor agent) over a wide range of
temperatures, from the Soft Drink Association's suggested test
temperature of 104 degrees (and higher) to even in the refrigerator.
Dr. H. J. Roberts, world expert on aspartame, said the experiment
was very important adding: "Jennifer deserves two gold stars".
No wonder the population is rampant with so many of the problems

COMMENT: Ms. Cohen did an excellent report in all respects. Dr.
Roberts, renowned expert on aspartame and its toxic effects gives
her two gold stars. From the viewpoint of an informed layman, I

Coke has a new advertising campaign where they state that Diet
Coke is: "You are what you drink". Congratulations, Coca Cola,
for finally getting it right! As Jennifer Cohen just proved, diet
coke drinkers are consuming formaldehyde and diketopiperazine (DKP,
a brain tumor agent) with each and every sip.

The aspartame to methanol to formaldehyde to formic acid conversion
of this chameleon substance (with a side-order of DKP and perhaps
other tumor agents) makes an excellent toxic soup that gives rise
to the 92 FDA acknowledged symptoms of aspartame poisoning.
When their record-keeping was still honest, the FDA stated that it
was the most complained about substance, comprising over 75%
of their complaints. Then they stated that less that one (1)% of
the consumers file complaints. The stated 10,000 complaints (in
the early 80's) would then translate to over 1,000,000 potential
complainers of the LESSOR effects of aspartame poisoning, ...
headaches, hives, vision and memory problems. Either number would
seem to be a significant figure.

Most important, this does NOT include the even larger number
of people suffering from long-term problems such as arthritis-
like pains, vision loss, and problems that lead to a misdiagnosis
of MS, CFS, Fibromyalgia or a whole host of other "diseases",

This report verifies what FDA Dr. Gross said about Searle, their
tests/findings, and confirms the brain-tumor issue. In addition, Dr.
Bressler, himself an FDA investigator auditing Searle's methods and
results, adds mammary, uterine and ovarian tumors to the brain-tumor
list!

NOTE: Dr. Jerome Bressler worked as the Chicago "Consumer Safety
Officer" until 1998, when the heat of the aspartame issue seems to
have prompted him to retire. DHHS no longer lists his old Email
address.

Aspartame has what is called "acceptable daily intake" or "ADI"
applied to it. Had I known about this term when it came to market I
would have wondered why, because water, chicken soup, sugar, tea, coffee
and a whole lot of other items do NOT have this term applied to them. I
believe that I would never have used the product; never have had to
endure eleven years of increasing pain and disabilities; never have
wasted eleven years visiting clueless doctors to receive expensive
misdiagnosis and drugs that are useless against aspartame disease; and I
might not be five years into prostate cancer treatments with NO history
of the disease in my family!

In summary: Aspartame is a U.S. National disgrace. It is a
cumulative toxic poison; a medical time-bomb coming to fruition. Why
was it necessary for a sixth-grader to do what the FDA/DHHS/NIH/WHO and
a lot of others should have done? Why are victims like myself having to
present this information to the public?

Review the list of 92 FDA acknowledged symptoms of aspartame
poisoning... that small list I credit with saving my life and restoring
my well-being and usefulness. Look around and about... more evidence is
probably as close to you as the next person you approach. I say this
because now that I know about it, and mention it in conversations, I
have met hundreds who had, or know of people who have had problems with
this substance. I had a few of my pamphlets in my shirt pocket one day
when I went into Sam's Club. The fellow at a stand hawking the local
newspaper tried to sell me a subscription... and while talking, he
notice the word aspartame in large letters on that pamphlet. He then
volunteered that he has a relative in Chicago who still works for
Searle, and who told him years ago to stay away from it because it was
poison. He also volunteered that he thought it would be of little use
telling folks about it because he felt that they "really didn't care
about such things!".

The brain cancer aspect is bad enough, and with respect to the
Delaney amendment it should have been enough to keep aspartame off the
market. However, it is the Pandora's box of ailments that take years to
develop... that may well break the back of our medical system. There
is strong evidence that this is part of the "gulf war syndrome", perhaps
a major part.

I credit aspartame for giving me a strong sweetened taste of hell. I
didn't like it! I do what I do now because I wouldn't wish my last
eleven years on my worst enemy. I do it because if someone had done
this several years ago I wouldn't be a recovering victim, with prostate
cancer that may have been triggered by this substance.

Tell people to PLEASE DO NOT TRASH ANYTHING WITH ASPARTAME IN IT!
Returning it to the original point of sale is the ONLY way to get the
message across to those who sell this stuff. VOTE against poisoning-
for-profit by giving them an impossible to ignore negative flow of $$$!
Besides, too many people are already dumping millions of tons of OTHER
chemicals and drugs into our water supply... and aspartame is, in fact,
a drug. Some think that it may have been the REAL culprit in the Phen-
fen/Redux scandal (and perhaps played a significant roll in the breast
implant problems).

Not sure if aspartame is THE problem... try

******** The 60-day no-aspartame test

If you hurt or have problem that the doctors can't seem to cure...
AND you use aspartame (now in over 5000 products), try the 60-day no-
aspartame test and see what happens. For free.

First... round up all products with aspartame as a sweetener and
place them in a box, and then seal it for the duration of the "60-day
no-aspartame" test (or until certain of the results of this self-test).

Second, create a log. Enter all the current problems/symptoms along
with types and quantities of medication being used to combat those
problems and symptoms. Include entries concerning both physical and
mental observations for the next 60 days... or until you are convinced
that aspartame was (or is not) the cause of one more or all of your
problems.

During this test period READ all labels. If it says "sugar free" or
"no-calorie" you might consider NOT consuming it... just to be sure.
Someone mentioned that they may be teaming aspartame with sugar (yeah...
with the real thing), as well as saccharin, acesulfame-k, and who knows
what else.

When you have completed as much of the no-aspartame test as you feel
necessary... do another inventory of your problems and symptoms... as
well as then current levels of medications and their types. Remember to
consider mood, vision, perceptions ... everything. If you lost some or
all of your problems then you just had a free cure for them.

Now it will be time to return all the aspartame-laced stuff to the
original point of sale for a FULL refund... even (and especially) on
opened/partly consumed stuff because it cannot be resold.

Then, please obtain some literature and pass this information on to
others. This is the time to write letters, file a complaint with the
FDA, tell your doctor(s), ask the media to write stories about this
poisoning-for-profit subject and help get this toxic poison out of the
human food chain... etc. There are still almost 200 million clueless
victims who need a fair shake.

If it says "sugarfree", "no-calorie", and/or it lists ingredients
such as Equal, Nutrasweet, Benevia, Equal Measure, Joe Sweet (and there
are many others), or it says aspartame... look for something with a safe
sweetener. If it bears the MANDATORY FDA warning "PHENYLKETONURICS:
Contains phenylalanine" or mentions phenylketonuria (PKU), it probably
has aspartame in it. Don't switch to another, perhaps similar,
improperly tested fake sweetener. EXPECT TO SEE ASPARTAME ANY PLACE
THEY WOULD USE SUGAR (INCLUDING SUGAR)!
