Gary could sure use our prayers and emotional support right now. He is having a hard time, not recovering real well from his knee surgery... and he just lost his little four legged friend. Baby Doll - a sweet little pommeranian that he had rescued. You may remember that he lost the other one, Pretty Boy, recently as well.
Kind of like being kicked while he is down, then kicked again... please send prayers and happy, healing thoughts his way, he is such a good guy.
here's the little sweetie's picture, thyroid disease took most of her hair... of course Gary treated her like a princess

Gary, I don't know exactly what to say at this moment. It appears you're going through a "Job's trial" of sorts with one ordeal after another.
My heart aches for you with the loss of baby doll, those angels that were so abused are just so fragile, that we may not have them as long as we'd hope. Who knows maybe the bond between her and pretty boy was so strong, she lost the will to go on without him.
It matters only that you were the shepherd that God gave them to watch over and love them until he called them to be with him. You did that.
You were a soft place, a safe place, for them to heal and trust a human being again. You will see them again, they will know you, and God will wipe away all the tears . God Bless you Gary for your sufferings and You are in my daily prayers.

Wow, Gary I'm sooo sorry to hear you lost another friend. I often wish that these animals could live as long as we can. They bring a lot of joy in a short period of time and then they're gone. But it's still worth it!!!!!!!
Like I always do, when I lose a friend, I go rescue another one in their name. So the death of a friend gives life to another by rescuing a new friend from the shelter. So it doesn't feel so bad that a life is now saved......especially when you get attached to the new friend that you saved.
Keep your head up buddy and get those pain meds adjusted and I think you'll be feeling better sooner than you think!

Gary, I used to take Neurontin too. It works good for nerve pain in a lot of people. Some docs give it out for spine problems instead of the addictive stuff like Perc's. It helped me with pain but I was sensitive to it and the side effects were too much for my head. I was at about 900mg per day. Some people are at 2400mg or higher per day. It would be worth a try for sure.

Good for you Gar, that you can go forward and open your arms to more needy pups or cats.
They need love so much. The pain of losing them is intense for sure though I myself haven't had to experience that yet. Rewards of the love and affection they give so freely is way worth the time they give us, be it short or long.
Tell us all when that time comes and show pics okay?
