I took a drive up to Yosemite on Friday because the park finally opened up Tioga Road which runs through the high country. I had hoped there was more snow, but it really had melted pretty quick.

All of these but one were taken from inside of my car since I can't do any hiking.

I hope you enjoy them...

Thanks Mike for the beautiful sights this morning, most especially the last picture....I miss Yos-a-might a lot. We spent many summer vacations there when I was growing up.

Hikin Mike,

These are some terrific shots! I mean,
the landscape is wonderful but you must study photography. You said that you took some of these from your car? Amazing.

Do you mind telling me what camera you use? film or digital? Wow. great composure!

You should feel really good about these!

Hello Hikin Mike,

Great great pictures. I used to live in Fresno 12 years ago and know where you live.

Yosemite is a spectacular place. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Thanky you everybody for your comments!

Kimmi, I haven't studied photography. The credit goes to God for creating all the beauty...I just snapped the shutter!

I use a Canon Digital Rebel (~6.3mp). The frames I made in Photoshop. Since I have to use a walker to get around, I try to find really nice spots within the view of my car window. I'd say 80% of the pictures I've taken are from inside the car. It is amazing what you can see from the car.

I forgot, the Tenaya Lake picture was taken right ouside the car and the Last of the Snow shot was taken on the hood of the car.

I'm taking my family back up there tomorrow to let my kids play in the snow while it's still there. Hope to bring back more pictures...

Hikin Mike,

You have to take some credit. Yes the world is full of many beautyfull things, but it takes a true artist to compose a photograph in such a way that truly delivers the moment to all that see this shot.
If you aren't studying, you have a gift that's for sure. Please keep the pic's comin'. It's a very nice change, Thank you for sharing these with us.

Take care ,Kimmi

Thank you Kimmi!

I don't have a lot of Lyme-related stuff to share here, but if my pictures can brighten somebody's day...I'm happy!
