Just so we all know ..... I believe we've done it before, but with all these horrible storms around us, I think it's a good time to do it again.

That would be Huntsville, Texas - about 60 miles North of Houston!! Home of a Sam Houston State University, a bunch of prison units and some pretty cool folks!!
We're on the outskirts of Hurricanes most of the summer and just South enuf not normally to suffer much winter! We do have HUMIDITY that is awful and often mosquitos that could rule the world - all in all though - it's a good place to be!
I was born and raised in the Deep East Texas Piney Woods around Longview, about an hour West of Shreveport, La - home of the LeTourneau College and the Kilgore Oil Musuem - w/ oil wells everywhere! Sure wish they were still producing!
Guess "I'm a gonna be a Texan 'til I die" !!
Sure wish a GREAT LLMD would decide to call this wonderful state home!!

Born in Canada, but lived most of my life in the San Francisco Bay Area ('cept for when I lived in Virginia, London, Spain, Los Angeles. Yeah. We moved a lot).
Just moved back to Canada for the first time in 30 years -- to Vancouver Island -- Nanaimo, BC.
But now due to Lyme have moved back to the Bay Area. Had to leave my house up there.
Pretty much just earthquakes (the one in '89 was fun). Oh yeah, and wildfires. Um...and some random flooding. Ooh yeah, and blackouts.

The best - the only - the real Octoberfest is where I live: MUNICH - Bavaria!!!
But I'm afraid it will take you more than two hours to get here. Anyway, this years Octoberfest ended on 3rd October (our trick to keep strangers out: we call it Octoberfest but we celebrate it already in September,
Maybe you can make it here next year, now that you know the trick.

North Olmsted, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. Been in the Cleveland, Ohio area all my life. Yeah, we have ticks with Lyme here too! BUT the doctors won't acknowledge that little secret.
You would think the cold winters here would kill those little buggers.

I live in the Lakes Region in New Hampshire.
Remember the movie on Golden Pond? That movie was filmed on Squam Lake and I go swimming on Squam most weekends in the summer. It's a beautiful state.
