[hi] Happy days around here I tell ya! [Big Grin]

My son called this evening from a stateside base where he will spend about a week 'out-processing' before coming home! I couldn't really let myself get excited and truly believe he was coming home until I heard his voice from the United States. Now I have! [woohoo]

Thanks you guys for all the support you've given me over this past long year, I can't tell you what it has meant to me! Most of all, thanks for the prayers for him and my family... [kiss]

Loribelle,

I could almost read the excitement in your voice.
My whole family is extremely happy for you and your family. Never let anyone tell you that God does not answer prayers.

Please tell your son that we appreciate what he has done for us and for his nation.

Sincerely,

LymeDad and family

"I'm so proud of you, Son" comes out so much easier without choking on that lump of worry in my throat! [Smile]

Thanks Lymedad!

Loribelle, I'm so excited for you! Mine just called earlier this morning, and he's making a surprise visit, but won't tell me when.

Unfortunately, he has to go back to Iraq, but I'm so grateful for getting this visit becuase it was not anticapted till the end of his full tour. Yahoo!!! Enjoy your holidays! Tell him how proud we are of him and his battalion!

And wish them all a very SPECIAL HOLIDAY while they're all home! The best present one could ever have! [woohoo]

Hi Loribelle,

I am so happy for you! I know you have been hoping for some time that he would be home for Christmas, so glad he will be, what a wonderful Christmas gift!

Please tell your son, our family truly appreciates his service to our country.

Being in a military family can be hard on the families of the soldiers as well, so I always make it a point to say thank you to the family members of our troops as well...so "Thank you"

I can remember when I was about 10 years old, and my dad was overseas in the Army. We were told that he couldn't get leave until Feb, so he would miss Christmas with the family. There were 6 very sad kids on Christmas eve.

We were living on an Army base ( I loved being an Army Brat [Smile] ) and I remember it like it was yesterday, there was a knock on the door, and in walked my daddy. It was the best Christmas present I have ever received.

I am so happy for you and your family. Merry Christmas!

Lymeloco,

Our son will also be returning to Iraq some time after Christmas. This will be his third deployment, one to Afghanistan and this will be his second to Iraq. He was also in Iraq during Desert Storm.

We are really enjoying our time together while he's home. He is regaining his strength and his mom is getting him back in shape with her cooking and attention.

Like you, we are extremely proud of our son and all the other men and women in uniform.

Please keep him in your prayers as we keep yours.

LymeDad

My God protect you, guard you.. and keep you from any harm.

If you should find yourself in danger's path, may God bring you back whole of mind and body to all those who love you.

May the honor and courage within you guide you as you serve your God, your people and your nation.

Mz. Belle,

how awesome he will be home!

Many Blessings!!

lymedad, my prayers are with our soldiers daily.
I'm not sure if my son's surprise visit will be for Christmas or after. Either way, I'm just happy he's coming home!

I just received an e-mail with pictures from him. I don't know how I'd do if it weren't for the internet.
