There is no written report on the web I can pull up at this time --
just seeing this now on MSNBC --

after being told 12 were found alive and hours of celebration, a horrible turn in info is that 11 are now found dead (plus the one confirmed hours earlier, with makes 12 all tolled, one is critical and in transit -- damn it -- )

[Frown]

What a horrible roller-coaster for these familes.

Many prayers going to them. I can't imagine.

Mo

Absolutely horrible news. I had just heard, not 30 minutes ago, that 11 were found alive. I can only imagine the grief and shock the families are going through.

My prayers are with them

Yeah, too bad...

I went to sleep thinking they were found alive and woke up to the reallity.

Heartfelt wishes to them all...

All seriousness aside...

This was probably orchestrated by the Bush administration so they could prove that missinformation is a constant thing in this world of worldwide communication...and they shoul'nt be blamed for invading Iraq...cuz England and Russia got the same bad intelligence we did!

And hey ya just can't trust what ya read in the papers!
Like, Dewey Wins...etc...... [Roll Eyes]

I'm surprised at you Mo...you missed your chance!

Why would you turn such a tragedy into an opportunity to insult Mo?

Is it that you're in so much pain that you want to take it out on someone or what is your problem?

I agree that we should stick to a subject and not do this:

Tequeslady -

That's what these guys consistantly do. Personal attack supercedes substance. I get fed up now and again, but I guess am too strangely used to it now.

--- quick, run!! Leave me here...
save yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On topic:
I can understand thre awful communications mix up that happened last night..
but am still confused over why noone let the families know (for 2-3 hours) at least the fact that the the information that 12 men were alive was unsubstantiated.

The word they were alive exploded at midnight, and appahrently the officials on the scene knew by 12:30 that this was not confirmed.

Why would they wait till 3AM to say anything..
even if it was just that they could not confirm it?

How tragic.

I think they should close that mine, at least until all pre and post safety violations are addressed..if they can be.

All seriousness aside...

In other words I was'nt being serious...on purpose...

It just seems that Mo seems to take any opportunity to drag the administration she so loves thru the muck and mire of conspiracyville...

It was supposed to be funny...ya know like "sarcasm"...

Sorry you missed it!

Thanks 24bit for getting it..........zman
