OK, maybe I am just being paranoid here, but yesterday my hotmail account was down, said the server was not available. This has never happened before. So, are they reading our mail? Government snoops reading this stuff, while they ignore actual warnings about actual terrorists, made by FBI agents.
Does not fill me with confidence.
Anyone else have this happen? Am I getting excited over nothing?

Well... they have admitted to doing this, plus monitoring phone calls. All falls under the guise of Homeland Security.

It's pretty bad and getting worse fast as long as dubya nush is in ...'office'... But they don't read ALL the mail, I don't think. First of all, I don't see how they could line up the manpower. Second of all, they haven't arrested me or bumped me off yet. ( ) (I don't think these work any more...)-(oh, I see this one did...) They are almost surely doing everything they possibly can to make it so they can read your mail if they want. though. And they are surely at least experimenting with "bots" that flag your mail if they detect certain things like "A-K47" ,"blow 'em up", "big shipment", or "bush is a criminal", etc.... (naya-naya-na-naya-naya(will lymenet now be targeted?)) The bots are still pretty dumb, at best, though, and any terrorists or drug dealers are careful to code their messages accordingly. So yeah, all their efforts just cause computer crashes and inconvenience, and raise taxes.... DaveS

Here is a top ten list of internet sites that are believed to be used by terrorist.
There is a sight in english and I imagine that people who register with any of these are probably sure to be snooped in on. Do I mind? No
I actually agree with Careless Dave on one thing. They do not have the man power to just randomly check out people.
I imagine that there is a basis for snooping on someone. These websites just an example.
It amazes me that people think that the government is gonna waste their time on any average joe. I believe that average Joe that they target for suspition has done something suspisious to give them reason to target.
I don't think that Lymenet would ever register on the scale for suspicious activity.

Oh allright, so I am paranoid. Hearing all that snooping talk in the news got to me.
If their bots work like spell check, going to be a lot of comical mistakes.
Yes, I've been good, what other choice do I have?

Well, the government apparently has the right to snoop on you. But, I seriously wonder if they'd really have to shut down a site in order to do that. I'm sure they could do it as you're reading and typing even.
