Hi!

Does anyone have any quick weightloss tips? Now that Winter is over, I need to be in swimsuit shape, at least somewhat, by mid-June. I'm going on vacation then and want to look decent on the beach. I have just less than 3 months to lose about 25-30lbs. Can this be done???? HELP anyone!!!! Would love any suggestions, as long as they are healthy. (I like food too much to starve myself!) [lick] Thanks in advance!!!

Tiff

My wife goes to L A Weightloss...

She does'nt starv and sheads the pounds...

Other than that...get on your bike and ride or walk...

That's my problem with the fatigue...I keep eating and not doing too much in the excercise arena...plus my psychotropic ssri may be to blame for some of my weight gain.

Good luck....zman

Drink More water....

less calorie drinks...

I am not saying you personally.... but most people dont realize how many calories they consume in their bevarages.

Also if you can exercise.... I know this is much easier said then done.

Sometimes variuous meds have made me gain weight and then I cant lose weight to save my life.

Best wishes [Smile]

Hi!

I know what ya mean about the fatigue. As I lay there on the couch or in bed, I'm thinking of how badly I need to get up and exercise, but I just dont seem to be able to move. It takes everything I have to get up and do something. It's so crazy!!

Lymie Tony Z, how quickly did your wife shed pounds at LA Weightloss? I'll definitly look into that, thanks!!

Azure Wish, everyone says that drinking more water is the magic in weightloss. I'm one of those who cant make myself drink it, or at least not enough. Any suggestions on how I can add it more in my day? I dont like water w/lemon, I get that suggestion from my coworkers a lot. I've thought about downing a glass before and right after each smoke break at work. Yet, I always seem to bypass the water cooler. (Yes, I smoke, very nasty habit that I wish I could give up, yet cant seem to let it go). AND I understand about gaining weight on meds. I gained all of this weight thanks to ZOLOFT. My PCP DR thought Zoloft would help with my daily tension headaches and dealing with stress. It just made me more stressed from all of the weight gain. YIKES!! I hope I'm not hopeless in my quest to lose weight.

Thanks for the suggestions!!! I'll start working on them, as long as this fatigue doesnt get the better of me, although it usually does...Thanks guys!!!

Die! That extra fat will dry right up! [Big Grin] Hahahaha

Just kidding.

I can lose a few extra pounds just by dropping my drinks and adding water.

I will fill up a piture of water every morning and force myself to drink it all by the end of the day.

Since my health has improved I have been tacking on some extra weight. My husband reminds me daily.

So I have gone to water, a fruit and nut bar in the morning, light lunch and eat what I want at dinner.

I also do muscle toning and treadmill at the Gym in the mornings.

Hi Tiff,

The wife did very well...I don't remember the time/poundage progress chart...but it was definitely noticable in the eye candy chart in about a month and a half...heehee...and she's about 60....

don't tell her I told you that or I'll lose some pounds from the flogging I'll get...

These folks give you a book to record your meals and and eating plan...how much of what and when...\she does'nt starve and still loses inches...give it a try...The water thing is OK unless of course you are one of those that retain water..... [Big Grin]

Thanks Rathead....I'll have that looked at....heehee....... [Wink] zman

With Lyme etc., I had the opposite problem, so I might not seem like a good candidate for comment here. The icon in SoftballM's post knows, though. And for me, physical activity; as much as I could manage, helped with everything. For me, with lyme, it was, up to a point, "the more you do the better you get". But it was hard to get started. The key, for me, was, I joined a "health club"-- actually a raquetball club, but I coudn't even think about playing raquetball! But there was a sauna. THAT was a huge factor in my recovery, and enabled me to "work out" (albeit at a pitifully weak level, at first). Slowly but surely, I got so I could do more and more. The sauna and jacuzzi seemed to enhance the effects of the abx, too (include the herx reactions, so be careful!). For me it was entirely worth it! (the health club for a year costed less than a single month's worth of abx!).

Do pay attention to diet, of course. But I don't think you should starve yourself. Be sure you are taking sufficient supplements, if you're eating less. But above all, stay away from sweet stuff, since that increases the likelyhood of yeast superinfections! And take lots of acidophilus. (not too close to abx though).

Well, I lost 35 pounds, but I don't recommend this method because it was from babesia.
