Like your cat. Here kitty, kitty.

Or was this a comment on the content of this forum? I prefer ho hum to gutwrenching.

Not commenting on what is posted here, Lou.

Just what is not...

Gut-wrenching? I agree, no need for that..

but stimulating --- I think can be good.

It all depends on the demeanor of the participants.

I think it also depends on the prognosis and current symptoms of the posters as to what they perceive to be stimulating. I don't even listen to the news on TV or radio anymore, so don't want to get it here too.

Don't people have anything in their heads aside from the news of the day? Anything intellectually stimulating, uplifting, humorous......etc?

Not commenting here on your political orientation. Have no problem with that.

I think it's great. [Smile] A lot of people don't want to get into harsh politics, but when they see someone ranting to the opposite of want they believe, they feel obligated get in there to balance it out. That has certainly been the case for me. So I'm glad it's calm and peaceful here now. [Smile]

I rather like the ho hum here lately...

After all this IS a SUPPORT website....

FRIENDS are never supposed to discuss politics and religion...

Old advice but still sound as the yen!

I'm with you on the politics and religion bans, tony. The stimulus I am getting with this disease is too much already. Don't need more.

Has anyone seen this advertisement for a diet, decaffeinated cola: People are sitting in a booth by the front window of a diner. The waitress coming toward them with a heavy tray trips and food sails thru the air toward the customers. Out the window can be seen a small plane about to crash into gas pumps in front. The pitch: For people whose lives are already eventful.

For some of us, though, the "stimulating topics" can be incredibly healing. I really have appreciated the variety of topics here- and we have had consistent variety right down through, here on "off-topic". It has by no means ever been "just political"!
Thank you all for some wonderful discussions, great humour, sometimes some news before I heard it anywhere else, and lots of other subjects that helped take my mind off my suffering numerous times!
I hope people here never feel reluctant to post something that comes from the heart, as long as they follow basic civility in their discussion. (no "personal attacks", etc.), always keeping in the background our basic supportive overtones here on Lymenet!
