OK, just have to rant briefly.... I was getting the Dr. Mercola news and found some of the info. of interest and some just stupid.

It just crossed the line today when an article proposed the the Bird Flu was a hoax! I hope they told the folks in Asia who have lost loved ones that the flu is a hoax.

Wether it is this strain or another strain of Flu, it is only a matter of time(possibly months if it's this strain)that we encounter another deadly strain of Influenza and in this day and age, the results of that occurance will be pretty bad, more like catastrophic.

So, I asked to be removed from the email list. This country can't even get out a yearly flu vaccine (no i've never had one)never mind prepare for a world wide Flu event, so anything that focuses attention on Vaccines versus Viagra is a good thing in my book.

There, I feel a little better.

All Truth Goes Through Three Stages

First it is ridiculed

Then it is violently opposed

Finally, it is accepted as self-evident

i once turned on the tv.
a show on the african massai, showed 2-3 massai over the carcass of a large, fresh kill, the head one of them emerging from teh chest cavity, with a wide red ring on his face. i realized they lanced the aorta, letting the chest cavity fill, and partook of a "sanguine" imbibition! [lol]

these guys looked real healthy, and fit.
if any of us did that, we'd wind up in the emergency room. [Frown]

Bird Flu is Drug company hype to get the Govt to buy millions of doses of so called Bird Flu vaccines...

My wife and I stopped the flu vaccinations years ago.

The vaccinations contain Thermosol (mercury base preservative)and is worse for you than the flu..

Don't eat raw chicken and play in chicken droppings and you should be fine...

By the By, chicken soup with carrots, onions, potatos, and whatever else you have is really good for the immune system.

Chicken fat is very good for body....

Fry chicken in coconut oil, yummmmmmie!!! Super duper immune system booster...

TJ,

from what i heard the "anti-cold" properties of chicken are in the HEN(old female chicken), and not in any other kind of chicken.

i could be in error here, but thats what seems to be the case.

Having said this, Big Bird must be plotting an early retirement in anonymity, with dyed plummage. [Razz] [lol]

on a related note, arginine is high in chicken, so this might explain immune system effects.
just musing here.

Guess not much chance of getting an old hen at the supermarket though, and how would you know by looking at them anyway.

I think chickens these days are farmed to be mature in about 6 weeks from hatching with the help of growth hormones and antibiotics. Yum.

best guess would be organic food markets, or if there is an organic farm that has animals.

The flu vaccine you get is targeted at the viruses that were prevalent the prior year. So, when you get it, it isn't that likely that you are going to target the viruses active THIS year. Thimerosol (Mercury) is in the vaccines. I don't know about you, but I don't want mercury injected into me.

Avian flu is useful however as a scare tactic. It is also useful to line the pockets of those that used to be on the board of the company that developed Tamiflu and who is still highly invested in their stock.
