I am having trouble signing up for Verizon DSL. I put my CD in that I received from Verizon. It is supposed to give me directions of what to do. The first thing that keeps coming up is "detecting connection to AOL," and then it tells me to close AOL and put CD back in.
I am not on AOL when it is telling me this. It does not tell me to delete AOL, but to close it. I have tried signing off my computer, and turning it back on, and the CD tells me the same thing.
Does anyone have any suggestions? There is an 800 number to call, and I will probably call it if no one here has any suggestions.
Thanks if you can help.
Brain haze from Lyme may be kicking in.

I have the Verizon DSL service and love it...
Call the 800 tech support number... When I got mine I couldn't get it to work. They sent out a tech and he found a misconnection in a neighborhood connection box. He came back and installed it for me and it works fine...
Be sure to turn on and set the incryption password to make your wireless system secure... Tech support will tell you how.... Plus, set a password on the router web page.. Write passwords down...
good luck Tj
