Is this guy strange or what?

Yesterday I watched a tv show about David Blaine the "magician" called Frozen IN Time where he attempted to stay awake and standing surrounded by a frozen block of ice.

His goal was three days but he didn't make it. He wanted out early and had severe pain in legs and was confused when he got out.

He was taken to the hospital tobe evaluated for shock and blood clots.

He said in the follow up that he couldn't walk for about a month after.

WHY in the world is he attempting stupid stunts like that?

It is obvious this guy has issues and enjoys attention. Weird.

Oh, did he recuperate already from spending a week underwater in New York City?

Yes, he spends alot of time and effort to get noticed.

That's pretty sad. I mean, if your going to set a record, you should set a record doing something either valuable for the future of humanity, or FUN (but still not overly detrimental to our future...)
This does NOT sound very fun- sounds even less fun than begging to join the prisoners at Guatasnomo Bay or Basra, and the latter might garner some international attention and do some good!
