What's cooking.

Tonight one of my favorite's sauerbraten, potato dumplings, and red cabbage. The house smells fabulously gingerly and I can't wait to get me a mouthful. Yum!

Is the squirrel eating chocolate? That's a squirrel after my own heart!

MagicAcorn, could you FedEx any leftovers to me? Your dinner sounds yummy. I'm heating up leftovers of turkey, mashed potatoes and veggies (no, they're not left over from Thanksgiving, that's what I ordered at a restaurant yesterday because it's one of the only gluten-free things I could find).

Enjoy dinner!

Jill

Cave,

Your dinner sounds yummy, too, and also very smart to keep those candida critters at bay. You're in my time zone, so I'll stand by the door and wait for the messenger to rush me over your leftovers.

MagicAcorn, you are like me - I get gifts ready with the best intentions and then decide I want to keep them. I love the squirrel with the tall ear tufts. I've always found it amazing that the European squirrels have very tall tufts but the California squirrels have none.

Either its an environmental adaptation or the California squirrels don't want to get their fur wet when surfing.

Cave,

Gee, thanks for your generous offer but I don't need to add any dirty dishes to my kitchen chores!

I just had my cholestyramine, and am doing the countdown until I can heat up my leftovers from the restaurant.

But thanks for the reminder about the coconut milk - I need to get some.

My husband and I went to a cooking marathon party. Everybody attending brought something to cook. The party (for the host) lasts 12 hours, so people come, cook, eat, talk, dance, whatever and leave in waves.

Never have been to party like that but it sure was fun.

I haven't had much of an appetite lately so I just ate aspargus with pancetta and peppers, and my own contribution baked bannannas.

They are very easy to make an totally a no-no for candida.
