ok, before i get my feelings hurt, i thought i would clear the air. better to say it first than start a war!!!!

1. i am a texas redneck - if you want to know what redneck is, ask jeff foxworthy....

2. i am fat -- but i'e lost 11 pounds, and i'm trying.....

3. i tend to be narrow minded and opinionated

4. i've fiercely loyal to my friends, even tho they may be wrong, drunk, or out of their minds...i'll defend their right to do so...

5. i'm uneducated about lyme and admit it, but i'm not stupid......

6. i love my dog even tho she's dead and i still cry......

there, i've said it...anybody else want to clear the air???

couldn't help it, just thought when i read about scott, it struck me as funny, well, you know, here we go again....

sorry, my lyme sense of humour....

Oh NOoooo! I missed a sassy thread [Big Grin]

The beauty of the Internet, is that I could be a fat balding old guy in his underwear typing here....and unless I tell everyone--they WON'T KNOW [Razz]

I think Redneck is something you admit to, never should anyone be called that!

Did I miss the name calling? phew... good. [Wink]

Congrats on losing 11 pounds Randi, that's really great.

I'm sorry about your dog and I lost my best friend (non-canine) 19 years ago and still think of her daily, talk about her and still cry sometimes.

Jeff Foxworthy cracks me up. It's so great because everyone fits into some aspect of his redneck definition. This one caught me early on:

You might be a redneck if...
you've ever used pliers to change the TV station.

*nods* sure have done that.

Actually that guy has too many teeth and not enough hair to look like me--but, it's a close call [Big Grin]

Randi--Didn't mean to hijack your thread. I see all the things you listed as positives.

Lymies have lots of heated discussions to deal with, try not to internalize them. We only know each other by our words was my point.

Although, now I really wish I had a better image of Meg, hahahahaha.

Oh and thread hijacking is a complement of the highest order, in case you were concerned. (Ok, I just made that up.) [Big Grin]

i think their expressions are different too.

give me a good ole' southern accent any day, or texas twang.

some people swear texans don't have accents, but i think we do....

when i go to wyoming, they always ask where i'm from...i don't think i sound strange......

as for bugs, you ain't seen nothing, till you've seen those enormous, what some call water bugs, in Houston....ugh..... i still call them cockroaches...we have some huge bugs and critters here.......

Yes, Texans have drawls. Mine is not strong at all, or so I hear! Those in West and East Tx have the strongest drawls in my opinion.

Dallas has a very strong drawl when compared to Houston. Randi, maybe you're exempt since you're in FTW!

or maybe all of those huge cockroaches in Houston take away our drawl! [Razz] [Big Grin]

That's something I dont' have to deal with here. Very few critters. I think I've seen one roach [small] in the 11 yrs we've been here. I could count the number of mosquitoes I've seen on my hands and maybe toes...that's it.

Having lived in Houston and in Victoria, I would see that many mosquitoes in one DAY! [lol]

kendrick, i started this as more of a joke than anything what with everything going on the board.

i figured i should just get it over with and tell everyone what i'm like just in case some days i step on some toes!!!

and yes, there is a post on politics but i don't go there!!!
