Has anyone ever sent their child on a "People to People" group trip? If so, what was it like? Our grade school age child got an invitation to go on one of their trips.
Would appreciate any and all info. Especially about where the kids stay while on these trips.
Thanks!!!

Way back in 1990 my daughter, then entering her freshmen year in H.S. went to Russia with People to People. She had a wonderful time with a great group of people. They travelled from one end of Russia to the other. Her trip was science related. My husband and I trusted the group completely and had no qualms about sending her so far from home. I believe her trip lasted 2 weeeks.
She has long since moved away from home, but a lot of her souveniers still abide at my house. The only complaint she had was the food - like fish soup, which included the bones!
She did have to do some fundraising, of course, to pay for her part, but we have a large family and she also got local businesses to contribute.
