is it just me or does this grey background with squiggly lines cause a headache???

maybe it's just my computer but yikes, i hate this....

hmmm, wonder if here's any way to change it....

left side is ok, but the rest sucks....

Yes i agree it is terrible! I wish they could make it more colorful.

Ohhh.

I really like the grey background - compared to most other sites, anyway - the overall contrast is not too bad. (But the moving icons just below as I type really are hard on the eyes.
I cover them up with a post-it.)

The squiggles you see, though, can be very hard. I don't have those on my monitor. I wonder if you can adjust anything on your screen that would help - the contrast function ratio stuff.


My email server just went to white background and it's very glaring.


A soft blue (or blue-grey) would be the most gentle on eyes, though, if a color change were to be considered. And blue can be a bit cheery on dark days. A soft purple, too, might be soothing.
