I need help in finding recipes for my Brother-In-Law. I started out trying to help him with Lyme,
which I'm more positive he has ..... then what any
testing they could do on him today, that would produce a positive test.
But as you all know trying to get someone to listen, well......maybe listen is the wrong word. Plenty of people listen as a courtesty,but they don't really believe for a minute that they may have lyme.
But anyway he has bigger problems. my dear Brother-In-Law was just diagnosed with Colon cancer.
It is in-operable.It has spread to stomach and liver. He was scheduled to go have a port put in to start Chemo but 4 days prior
he had to have an emergency operation because of blockage in his intestines. He ended up with a clostomy bag.
He was told that if chemo works he may have 2 years and if it don't maybe as little as 4 months.
He's just 46 years old/ divorced / 3 boys, 2 at home one just turned 16 and the other will be 5 years old.
I'd like some help in finding recipes. There just has to be somewhere out there on the internet a website that will give me ideas to cook meals for him.
He's on a low-fiber and Residue Restricted Diet.
Any help on this will be so appreciated. Thanks. Kennedy

Thank you so much for your help.I will check them out. Also for your prayers our family has been through too much it's been less than 2 years when we buried my husbands Sister who died from lung cancer, she also was 46 at the time. This will be too much for his parents to once again bury another child.Thanks again. KENNEDY

I have gastroparesis - basically, my stomach doesn't work. I can't digest fiber so I'm on a low fiber (residue) diet.
Soft cooked poultry and fish are allowed, lean hamburger or very well cooked pot roasted beef is an occasional treat. In general, beef and pork are too hard to digest.
Vegetables like beets, winter squash, carrots, sweet potatoes and mushrooms all very well cooked are staples as are white rice and mashed potatoes. Believe it or not well cooked chopped spinach is on the allowed list.
Peeled & seeded zucchini or summer squash are another choice. I use a lot of onion & garlic powders, ground seasonings like sage & rosemary.
Pasta with strained sauce (no chunks of veggies) is quick & easy.
Applesauce, juice without pulp and most canned fruit except pineapple are allowed.
No-nos on my list are raw veggies, celery, lettuces, beans of any type and cruciferous vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli ect...), fresh fruits and anything with seeds. No nuts, dried fruit or raisins of course.
No oatmeal. Whole grains are not allowed either, but refined flours are okay. Plain crackers and cookies are acceptable. Chocolate chip are a real treat.
