Just broke up with my boyfriend of 5 years last night. It was the right thing to do because he didn't show me enough respect and he hasn't really "been there" for me since my diagnosis.

Of course, knowing that it was the right thing doesn't necessarily make it any easier. And now we have a lot of stuff to work out, like who's staying in our apartment & who's keeping our dog. I wish I had more energy to deal with these problems but I just want to curl up and go to sleep forever.

Currently infected with Lyme, Babesia, Ehrlichiosis, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Mycoplasma, & Q-fever.

10 months into treatment, currently on Bicillin, Rocephin, Doxy, Biaxin, and Mepron.

Glad you're in touch with yourself enough to listen to your heart. Since he wasn't giving you respect, the relationship probably added stress you don't need.

Now listen to your body, curl up, and sleep. Ahhhh...

You don't have to change everything & decide everything right away. Baby steps. You're on the healing path.

Stay in your apt or move?

Consider this: Do you love the place? If so, ask to stay since you're ill.

If you don't really like the apt that much, then this can be an ideal opening to get out. Staying in an environment that's not nourishing can be a physical drag.

Post in General Support so LymeNet friends can encourage your brave new changes.

Best,
Smile
