Hi everyone, in case I found tick bites in my non-pet house, should I still get a pet right now? Would that be a terrible idea?

If you have allergies, no, do not get a pet. If it's an animal that can house ticks, you must be very diligent to make sure it's well cared for.

If you are lonely, a pet is a great idea.
Visit your local humane society to play with some cats or dogs (or rabbits, guinea pigs) and make sure you are not allergic to them.
