Hi all. I can write HTML etc, but I've only ever done it within our network at work.

I need to set up a web page for our local Lyme group, to support links to the local Yahoo group etc., and I'm trying to decide what service to use. I've been looking at Juno, Earthlink, Yahoo, Geocities, and others.

Cost is a factor, but I really hate the way the geocities ads dominate the pages.

I live in a small town and don't have a lot of local dialup options (Earthlink is one of the few). I'm not ready yet to spring for DSL. Our local ISP is getting slower and slower and has lousy customer service, so I'm thinking I'll just move all my internet business to another ISP.

I'd welcome suggestions or war stories.

I know of alot of people that have had problems with Juno - though i have no personal experience.

I agree about Geocites, i gave up myself due to the ads (lol).

Wish I had more advice - good luck!

I and others have used globat.com over the years, and there are no adds popping up.

They are very affordable and give you a lot for your money. I believe it cost lest than 10.00/month.

They also provide support for FrontPage.
