help VISTA users!

My new pc monitor was delivered and installed tonight. I've had my resolution set lower so things were ENLARGED for my low vision.

this popped up and I can't delete it and it's staying in my lower right hand corner taking up 4" x 4" SPACE!

this monitors optimum is 1440 x 900.
*************************************

since i can't delete this stuff from my corner, I can't get to right hand corner to take it from 100% plus down to 50% to change my resolution setting as APPLIED or whatever it is ... will NOT show up to click!

***************

next question;

I had my colors worked out; was reading all these help papers for above problem, but no luck.

I thought I'd shut down things and MAYBE these popup would GO for good; no way Jose!

now I have a deep black background and it's changed my fonts, etd.

I didn't change anything; what caused this, and how do I fix!

****************

3rd question:

how can I reduce CONTRAST, etc. like I could on front of my former monitor. I need DARKER screen; print white hurts my extra sensitive eyes.

any takers to help me!! I sure hope so!

i'll have to call it a night with only 15 minutes on here tonight otherwise. boy, all this light is SO PAINFUL TO MY EYES!

SOS ASAP
