At my health club, I would like to put up a poster and some awareness info to educate people on Lyme. I contacted health Dept since they are doing nothing to educate our community. I want to dedicate one hour a week to outreach since that is what I use to do.

I want to get mass pamplet so I can go to one of the health fairs and give out tick cards and pamplets both in English and Spanish. Any suggestions.

this is something i typed and put together using 2 of LDA brochures:

basics and CO-INFECTIONS, since LDA brochure is ILLEGIBLE since co-infections was made by another company in timesnewroman in SMALL print!

it's currently 9 pages; what i did also, was copy the front/back of TICK CARD and it was taped on the last page and COPIED; so it's complete and they have that info too!

fyi, I DO NOT HAVE THE MOST RECENT 2008 LYME BOOKS IN THIS YET!
*******************

Betty G's LYME/TICK BROCHURE with 2 LDA brochures combined together plus other stuff from Betty including:

lyme books, support groups, lyme/co-infection illnesses, symptoms, diagnosis, treatments, children; hunting/gardening ... how to dress; how to remove ticks, etc.

prints out to 9 pages 2 columns per page!

http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=045337

what i have also done is call IGENEX LAB, CALIF; i had them send me 100-200 of their WESTERN BLOT IGM/IGG blue brochure and had them send me their CURRENT PRICE LIST so one of them could go inside EACH brochure.

i'd give them out plus the ABC's of lyme brochure from LDA.

another suggestion:
*********************

type up something about UNDER OUR SKIN; WHAT IT IS ABOUT; WHAT IT SELLS FOR; ALL THE LINKS TO WATCH TRAILER, ETC.

ALSO, show my link of LYME VIDEOS COLLECTION; folks can click on them and watch and LEARN ABOUT LYME thru these heartwarming videos!!

you could also type up a list of 08 new lyme books!!!

i'd show PJ LANGHOFF'S 2 BOOKS, IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD, 2008

singleton's book

pam's new book, cure unknown?? can't remember right now...

these are my ideas off top of my head that i've used at my annual lyme educational tables!!

i also showed what my state, iowa, was in 05/6 LYME STATISTICS REPORTED OF 50 STATES....

THERE IS CURRENT CUMULATIVE one from 1980 to 2008, Jan... print out YOUR state from beginning to end of cases reported MEETING CDC ...

you can find this stuff in my newbie package; check table of contents ... link below!

The California Lyme Disease Association website at www.lymedisease.org has many brochures and posters that can be downloaded.

CALDA's website also has a link to the CA Public Health Dept which has their own posters and brochures. If you call them, they will send you a small number of tick cards - 100? - which CALDA does not have yet. I am not sure how many DPH brochures you can get but I like CALDA brochures better, anyway, and you can get as many as you need.

If you are in the Santa Cruz area, be sure to look at the SC brochure which is also on the CALDA website and can be downloaded and printed.

Also, you might be interested in joining CaliforniaLyme, one of the CALDA network of online state groups, at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/californialyme
