Hi folks Many of you probably know that the IDSA has manipulated the voting process so that the existing IDSA guidelines would remain unchanged.
This is an apparent breach of their settlement with Attorney General Blumenthal. AG Blumenthal has written to them about this, but has not yet received an answer as far as we know.
This is pretty outrageous and their dishonesty threatens the health of every one of us.
THE ACTION ALERT: Please ask the Attorney General of your State to contact the IDSA and express his/her dismay that they are reneging on their agreement with Attorney General Blumenthal. Ask them to cc AG Blumenthal on their letter.
Washington State and Pennsylvania have already had letters from their AGs sent to the IDSA. Let's get every state AG to let the IDSA know they are being watched.
SAMPLE BLURB: "I am calling today because an injustice is being done to Lyme patients throughout the country, and you are in a position to rectify this wrong. Attorney General Blumenthal of Connecticut found the IDSA to have conflicts of interest with its 2006 Lyme disease guidelines. Now we find that the IDSA is manipulating the voting process to favor that the guidelines remain the same in violation of the antitrust Settlement Agreement that they reached with AG Blumenthal.
"Please contact the Infectious Disease Society to insist that they be fair to Lyme patients and abide by their agreement with AG Blumenthal."

Looks like things could get pret ty ugly for AG's of the moment.
It might be wise to determine if we want to envision AG Blumenthal losing in the elections
and what consequence that could have on the Lyme populations.
Seems to me he is one of the few politicians that ever stuck up for us in all the years this war has been allowed to go on.
