this is from the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette on Oct 3.
Fort Wayne native Dr. Allen C. Steere Jr. will receive the Physicians Achievement Award from the Arthritiis Foundation Friday in Boston.
Steeere, a 1961 graduate of South Side High School, is the director of clinical research for
rheumatology at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is also a professor at Harvard Medical School.
Steere identified the first cases of Lyme disease in the 1970s. Today, his researd is focused on autoimmune diseases.
Wouldn't it be great to have some of his input on the questions coming up in these posts?
