Hi folks, This is a really good way to contribute to the Lyme Disease Association when you shop online.
Go to www.igive.com and type in the Lyme Disease Association as the recipient for donations.
Then every time you go to the site and shop online at almost 700 companies they will donate a percentage to the LDA. Just about any company you can think of shopping at is represented there.
Please pass this information on to every one you know.
This is a way people can help us get money for Lyme research and education without having to spend a penny extra. And you even can get tax deductions for the contributions they give.
Get an early start this Friday for the sales. Thanks, Ellen

HI Betty, I don't know what you're referring to about using the search feature, too? Could you explain?
Thanks so much for supporting this reminder. The Lyme community is so much in need of help. We need research. We need public relations to counteract the IDSA attack on us. We need help in dealing with legislation.
All this takes money. The LDA has done a lot to help already. It needs more money to support all of the above. Designating the Lyme Disease Association as the recipient of your donations and doing your online shopping on the igive site (www.igive.com) gets money to the LDA without our having to spend an extra penny. Igive donates part of the cost of the item to LDA.
Most of us are going to do at least some CHristmas shopping. Since there are thousands of us on this group, we should be able to generate some money painlessly. Ellen

S E C O N D W E B S I T E TO C L I C K "LDA" AS CHARITY TO GIVE MONEY TOO WHEN DOING "SEARCHES" !!!!!
GOODSEARCH.COM
HI ELLEN, i had to try to find the info in my home files, but finally found it, and will show below what was sent to me from someone who sends monthly computer tips! **************************
Helping LDA when you search the Internet...originally written about helping children's charities!!!
BY KEES BOER, FLORIDA
This is one of the most important Computer tips, I've ever written.
If you use the Internet you obviously do searches on the Internet. It's one of the nicest features of the Internet.
You can go to a search engine, type whatever you're interested in, press search and they'll find all of the WebPages that deal with the topic, however remotely.
Did you know that you can actually help a LYME DISEASE ASSOCIATION charity, every time you do a search?
Goodsearch.com is a website that will donate a little bit of money to your favorite Charity every time that you use them to search the Internet.
It is powered by Yahoo.com and it works the same way as Google . There is no software to install, just start using the website.
All you have to do is go to the website and do the search. On the second line, you can select which Charity, you want to choose.
. Think about it, if you were to do 5-6 searches a day, which is nothing for anyone using the Internet, you would generate about $20,00/year.
Now, I know that's not a whole lot, but you would gladly pick it up, if you found it laying on the street, and it would kind of make your day!
Now, let's say that 100 people do this. That would be about $2,000/year! We can truly make a difference.
