Some on here say yes. Some say no. I think that thread is some place.

There is an llmd in the north east that just added a chamber to his practice. Maybe ask him?

I know they don't typically talk unless they are your doc.

I had severe neuro-Lyme, babesia and bartonella, and mHBOT gave me my life back. I am 100% well now, med-free.

Thank you, Phoiph, that is exactly what I'm doing and I'm learning a lot. So throughout your recovery, did you stay at ATA 1.3? And did you have any adverse effects from the mHBOT itself? How is this differentiated from a herx reaction? These questions will probably be addressed later on in the thread so sorry for redundancy. I'm excited to try it myself and my LLND suggested to do just 3 dives initially to test how I would react. Is an MD the only one who can write a Rx, or can an ND, DO, or TCM practitioner write it as well? Thank you for all your help and may I PM when I am ready to purchase one, or have general questions?

Of course, please feel free to PM me.

I would suggest you start very slowly...meaning working up to full pressure over a period of time based on how your body reacts (it is too simplistic to say "just do 3 dives to see how your react").

Depending on your level of toxicity and sensitivity, you may benefit by increasing the pressure gradually, as well as the 02, and working up to daily treatments, etc. When you get ready to start, we can discuss all of that.

I did all of my mHBOT with a home chamber, at 1.3ATA.

It is a 2 step forward, 1 step back process...there are many ups and downs as the layers are traversed. Working up to full pressure, etc., slowly helps the body adjust.

The key is consistently and frequently for an extended period, as you will read in the thread. Diet and graded exercise are also crucial pieces of the protocol.

Prescriptions must be written for both the chamber and the oxygen concentrator (they are sold separately by FDA regulations), and can be written by an MD, DO, or ND.

My LLMD uses HBOT as part of his treatment protocol for Lyme. He ok's it for patients with babesia and bartonella.

If you research, you will find mixed info on this.

Ultimately, this is still pretty experimental so you may not get completely satisfactory answers. As with most else in Lyme treatment.
