I am working towards a positive and healing light and environment.

I am pretty new here and I have already seen and witnessed and had to endure .....and work through conflict and negativity.

There are some great people here .. and though too I find that there are too many that seem to spoil the positive environment.

I am not feeling like defending myself or anyone else is productive to my own healing and nor do I feel it takes me to the place I want to be. I end up saying or being what they are in defense of myself. And that is not ever what I want to do.

I regret any of those moments no matter how few or small or even justified.

I am really done here and as you know I have been working hard on a new site and I am already getting the negativity thrown at me there

Below is a copy.. I this site is not mine.. But that one is and I am trying to create something positive.

I am sorry if this is how anyone here feels.

I am not coming here anymore... THanks to all that have been there for me and you have my site and info if you would like to chat or visit etc.
Any comments of any negative sort such as this will obviously be taken down from my site.. as it is my site and I do have bounderies.

I will try to answer some of my PMs here and then.. I am gone.. SO take care of yourselves and God Bless and I hope you all find the healing and paths that take you to where you want to be.
Love
Deb in AZ.

Hey good to see you are doing something productive.

Your comments on your Salt & C threads at LN to those that were once trying to give you honest helpful advice were beyond rude.

After your rude posts you then tried to act like you did not make any rude comments and are just into peace and love and getting along with others. What a bunch of BS.

You were rude and you know it. Read your threads over again your short term memory is not as lame as you pretend. You beep your own horn way too much. Try pretending to be humble and think Gandi and truly try being kind and listening with an open mind.

You are a bully.

this amuses me and it is seen often here on LN.

someone posts "im gone, bye bye, not coming back"

but they still lurk.

im sure youll still be watching, reading, and learning from Ln just as you always have.

if youre looking for pity or understanding about the conflicts you have been involved in and whether you are right or not, youll not get it from me.

honestly, if wellness is your main goal, you wouldnt even waste the time with a thread such as this looking for sympathizers.

i do hope you find wellness, but surely, this is not the way.

Will see you over there then Deb.

IMO you have posted informative material to actually help others.

When the bully drug lovers over here feel threatened they do their job and bully away.

Derek, I am chewing my own tongue off at the moment and trying to keep from spewing off at the mouth. I will just ask this? Do you EVER have anything JUST positive to say to ANYONE?

You always seem to put a negative spin on things, and that's too bad...

DebAz, I sincerely wish you well. You are a brave, sweet lady and I hope you can find your way out of the negativity elsewhere. Unfortunately, as you're finding out it seems to follow sometimes.

Good luck to you and I wish you all the best!

Okay, I am asking the person who posted this rude and insulting comment to Deb to stand up and be counted.

It's pretty obvious as to who it is. Deb and I have been attacked time and again on the salt/c thread only to have to continuosly defend ourselves.

This attack on her and her new and wonderful website is a perfect example of how relentless and destructive they are. Actually by doing this they have outed themselves.

Deb is a really good person who has contributed a lot of positive info to Lymenet. She has set up a terrific new website for all of us.

The person who did this to her is obviously jealous and angry that they could not obliterate the salt/c thread.

It must be even further infuriating that she is smart and kind enough to be able to set up this new source for all at Lymenet.

I am obviously VERY upset that someone could stoop so low and chase away such a valuable member.

THEY are the true bullies and need to stop this immature behaviour.

I FOR ONE DO NOT WANT TO LOSE SUCH A VALUABLE MEMBER. Deb, I do understand your decision, but please reconsider [group hug]

I'm sorry to hear you're leaving DebAz. There's obviously some real jerks on this forum. Most are not though. The day-to-day wars are so childish. What amazes me most is all these people who are too sick to do anything, work, etc. can take the time to research ideas endlessly to support their point of view. it's like people seek self-gratification and sleep better at night if they think they won the battle.

That said, why let someone's comment bother you so much? Ignore it and chalk it up to mental illness. A nice, caring person wouldn't personally assault anyone. Disagreeing with your protocols or warning others of potential risk is perfectly fine in my eyes and welcomed. Balance is key.

Don't go to LN Europe...lol. [Smile]

Best of luck in your journey to wellness.

Derek,

We must have been posting at the same time. I would like to know why you would be AMUSED at someone elses pain?

These kind of comments just speak volumes as to someones character. Someone reaching out after they have been attacked is a very natural thing to do.

Haven't you reached out when you were in pain? Your sarcasm is just uncalled for. Be kind, it's more productive,

Peace,

Gael

Sorry to see you go Deb. I didn't follow the salt/c thread and don't know what transpired or who was involved but I have a few thoughts.

You will never find a group this large with all sick people that will be completely positive. Just doesn't happen.

In order to help yourself and help others you must learn to let the negativity roll off your back. It helps not to take it personally.

Consider the source, examine yourself to be sure that you haven't done something wrong and if you truly feel you haven't then ignore negative comments and behavior as much as you can.

Not easy I know but if you leave, the people who wanted you gone have accomplished what they set out to accomplish and this gives them the courage to continue their behavior.

That said, sometimes it's just not possible to continue interacting with such negativity.

We all have to decide what is best for us and our healing journey.

Take care,
Terry

Deb, I too wish you wouldn't leave, but I understand. As stated above, there are people who are just plain rude and ungrateful -their comments are so hurtful.

The additional website is fantastic - what talent and creativity.

Gail, it certainly wasn't me who wrote that (I think you may be implying that). I post as who I am and don't send gratuitous PMs under other names. In fact I felt I did my part to warn people about salt/c and stopped reading the threads.

I take breaks from LN when comments get too rough or the atmosphere is too weird. Derek is right, you tend to come back because it's the largest lyme site on the internet. Even LN Europe is obsessed with daily monitoring of LN, which is sort of funny.

I took a break a little while back, shorter than I expected.

Sometimes I've taken a few months away.

I've been sorry to see certain posters permanently go--like CaliforniaLyme. She used to post abstracts all the time that were very helpful.

Unfortunately, the site just gets nutsy sometimes. People who are ill and the anonymity of the internet. Do your best and go on with your day.

shocked to read "the reality police"'s comments; i just checked and this person isn't a lymenet member and did not show up on directory search.

so sorry you were attacked by others; we've all been there. [cussing]

you contacted me 1st about your creating that site and asked me for feedback on it and other improvements; that i gave as you requested.

deb, i will truly miss you and will drop into your site here and there as i think of it! my best wishes on getting your health back. [Wink]

Terryk is so right. This is a large group. It is just not possible to have a large group of people without a certain percent of them being jerks. It is in the numbers.

The more visible you are (nothing wrong with that) the more you get noticed by....the jerks.

It is to your benefit and ours to disregard this kind of crap.

If not, on any given day that any given person says something mean to you, your plans will change. That means you have no control over your choices. You are giving control over to anyone that wants it by being cruel.

You don't want that!

Hi Deb,

I'm chewing on my tongue also regarding Derek's rudeness.

I have to admit when I read what that person said about Deb being the bully I laughed so hard. How ridiculous that even sounds. I'm still laughing.

Boy, did I need that laugh.

Oh yes, this is funny too from someone else about Deb coming back like there's something wrong with saying good-bye when your fed up than later deciding to come back. What does it matter? So what if it happens?
What will you do than?

Rub it in her face that she said she was through with lymenet? That's mature.

Sorry Deb, That was just too funny too let go.
[Big Grin]

I do wish you would stay but I completely understand. I checked out your site and it's great. I'm even more happy that it's yours and you can delete the negativity.

You can benefit the lyme community greatly with your knowledge and speed.

I will miss on this site but we will keep in touch. I personally hope you decide to come back. I support your decision 100 percent!!!!!!

Love, light and peace to you,
Fancy

Deb, I wish you would return. Life is not all love and light. There are conflicts. If so, we can look at what part we might be playing in them and learn from it. If we didn't have anything to do with it, let it go.

Just do the work you're doing because it helps everyone. I think it's great that you started the site and I think you should stay a part of lymenet too.

It is extremely important to surround ourselves with as much positive energy as we possibly can, especially right now because of, not only the internal imbalances, but also many external ones as well.

Block out the message... they are simply 'projections' and whoever it is, they will become well eventually also.

<<<<< DebAz >>>>>,

Thank you for the many helpful posts and kindnesses you have posted on Lymenet!!!

You have been of help to many of us!!!

Please, after you take a rest break for awhile, reconsider and come back to share w/ us!!!

Sadly we do get folk her being 'Trolls', coming in just to troll to make trouble. That is the 'Jerk Wad' aspect of internet lines

Then there is the family aspect,we become family, we have concerns for each other. Sometimes we are concerned after a bad experince, w/ one method or another of treatments.

And w/ Lyme and Co' fueling our upsettedness we might seem too adamant. We are human.

Deb, I will miss you and hope you come back to us!

Hi LymeNet Users,

NOTE: I posted the following in another Topic but I'm repeating it here for obvious reasons.

I'm one of the Moderators and System Administrators of the LymeNet Flash.

The LymeNet Flash has specific rules that address posts that are unlawful, threatening, abusive, hateful, harassing, knowingly false, defamatory, sexual oriented, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, vulgar, obscene, profane, or otherwise objectionable, which encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any law, called Terms of Use, that are here:
http://www.lymenet.org/terms.shtml

Recently, there have been no reports to me and none that I know of to the other Moderators. You can report an objectionable or offensive post by clicking on a Moderator's UserName, which are listed at the top of each Forum or you can email me; [email protected]

All we ask is that you provide specifics (the UserName of the alleged offender and what you find to be objectionable or offensive) and a link to the Topic / post you are reporting. We will review and take appropriate action.

Generally in the instances where we do take action, (deleting a post, asking a user to show respect and, in the case of serious or repeated violations, banning a user) I've seen things settle down very quickly. So, if you see a situation that you believe requires our attention, report it. We can't possibly read and review every Topic / post on LymeNet so we need you to be our eyes and we can't help you if we don't know you need our help.

In my 12+ years volunteering here at LymeNet I've seen the best and the worst in people but overall the good, respectful people here far, far outnumber the bad, disrespectful people. And the best of the best are here on LymeNet carrying on the vision of Lyme victims helping Lyme victims!

I wish all of you a HEALTHY Happy New Year,

so good to see the surprise of lou b stopping by to add his comments; excellent, and please add his EMAIL ADDRESS TO YOUR HOME ADDRESS BOOK for future use. [group hug] [kiss]

many folks email me about these situations, but i can't do anything more than you; that is to report the DIRECT LINK to lou and tell him what is objectionable and OFFENDING MEMBER.

this just slows down the process since i'm on here at wierd am hours, etc.
