the parents of a 14 year old girl on Sunday.

I'm sure most of you have seen, or heard the news the last couple of days. This happened in Lititz, not far from where I live.

Yesterday I got the shock of my life - when the news station put the pictures of the family on the screen.

It was really weird - because I thought for sure that the two teens involved looked so fimiliar... Well, when they showed the picture with the parents who had been killed -

I knew Cathy! [Frown] (the mother) I haven't seen her since 2003 - I used to go to a Bible study every week (haven't been there since, because of the lyme)- this is where I met her. We both homeschooled, and the Bible study had a program for homeschoolers while the moms had the Bible study.

I was actually thinking about trying to get myself to go this year - it started in Sept. but, I didin't make it - mornings are not the greatest time for me (lyme). She would have been the first person I would have looked for...

She was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She helped me with some personal issues as well, and let me borrow a book from her.

I just can't imagine what these two families are going through....so terribly tragic and senseless... [Frown]

ArtnSoul,
Yes, what a tragedy. I've been following it in the paper.

i wonder if he was either on, or withdrawing from, luvox or some other srri/psych drug.

too often,we only learn later, that one or more of the individuals involved in this, and similar tragedies are on, or withdrawing from, these kinds of drugs.

Very sad, this is one messed up kid.

News is coming out that he and another boy planned this well in advance. They're talking death penalty [Frown]

one effect of one or more of these srri's causes elaborate planning of these kinds of violent acts.

this is well known by the makers, and is an utter irrelevance to many of the "powers that be."

Yes, My son was in the same graduating class as the OTHER boy in the video.

And he SEEMED like such a nice kid - he is very talented. He played the piano and the drums during the grad ceremony.

I just wonder what his parents are doing about the
situation - he had nothing to do with the murders - but the "video" was very disturbing... (It wasn't about killing the girl's parents - they were outside of someone else's house - talking about killing the people there - according to the report)

definitely something that should be dealt with!! The police tried to question him - went to his house - and his sister said he was "out of town".
