My doctor just prescirbed me 250mg of Zithromycin a day,don't know if this dosage is normal or not..

I couldn't handle more than that but was prescribed double. When I only took half doses, my LLMD tried having me pulse it, 3 days on 4 off, but I still couldn't tolerate it, so they changed meds. They were concerned that it would become resistant on that dosage.
Does your doc plan on increasing your dosage later? I felt good on the 250.

I'm on 250mg.... every time I go up to 500mg I herx too much, so we go back down to the 250mg and have more milder herxs.
I feel good on the 250 too.

My Dr. had me on 500 mg IV zith and just reduced it to 250 mg. My ears were screaming and I felt like I was going cross-eyed when infusing. The herx today (drooping face, leg dragging, PAIN)from it was pretty severe, so they backed me off. I am hoping I can tolerate 250 mg??!

You guys are scaring me. I just went on 600 mg a day. I hope I don't get a headache or anything else.

Some people do great on zith. My daughter was fine with it. It was horrible for me and we had to switch to something else. Everyone is different.

My ID doc at one time prescribed 2,250 mg of Zithromax a day!!!! NUTS. I took up to 1,000 mg, but it was not easy. I hate Zithromax. Useless for me.

Also 500 a day for my son and I with no problems, but we are on one week on then one week off.

Okay, I feel better now. Maybe, just maybe, the people who have bad reactions are more likely to post about them and the folks who have no reactions don't feel a need to say anything. Thanks to those who have provided some reassurance on this journey to the town of "Feel Good Again"

I take 600 mg daily and do fine. I accidentally took 600 mg twice daily for a month and did fine on that, too.
My daughter's LLMD had her on 250 mg daily. I was uncomfortable with it being so low, but he thought more would be too much for her.
