For breakfast I ate two Van's gluten free waffles topped with lots of coconut oil and a fried egg (no syrup).

For dinner, I'd just be sure whatever we were having had enough fat .... meat, coconut oil, butter etc.

In a pinch, Ezekiel Bread toast slathered with butter and almond butter.

A serving of nuts- especially macadamia nuts, though expensive.

Or I make plain oatmeal and add coconut oil for fat.

Eggs and cheese.

Full fat yogurt. One cup of Cabot Greek has 23 grams of fat.

I usually just eat a handful of nuts, i.e. pecans, walnuts, almonds or a slice of cheese.

Lol 3030. I just want to make sure it all gets digested properly otherwise it would be a waste.

Kitty: I'm going to look up what Cabot Greek is. That sounds good for mep.

Ok, great ideas!! Thanks!

The Cabot yogurt is soooo good. I ate a regular low fat yogurt since discovering it, and I don't think I can ever go back to it!

I add some granola as well- even more fat and not too much sugar.

I think the reason Mepron doesn't always work for everyone is because they aren't taking enough fat with it.

Mepron binds to the fat and stays in the body longer so that it can work.

I'm sorry to say that some of the suggestions wouldn't be enough fat. 2 tsp of olive oil is only 14 grams of fat.. Yogurt is quite low as well.. even full fat yogurt is around 15 grams..

It's really quite alot of high fat food that you need to eat to get the 24-28 grams of fat(depending on mepron dose).

Avocados are good as well as almond butter... but you really have to slather it on.

Ugh. How did I miss that. My son was on Mepron... I never paid attention to fatty foods.

There is so much to learn! I feel like I read on Lyme 24 hours a day and I still miss important stuff!

I mix my mepron into 1/4 cup of peanut butter,
I checked with my LLMD first though.

I make sure I eat lots of grapeseed oil, each day.

It's suppossed to be healthy,

I just ordered coconut oil.

Can't wait to try that instead.

20 grams of fat! That's a lot. My LLMD just said take it with something fatty and he suggested a tablespoon of peanut butter. I'm not sure I could eat 1/4c of peanut butter. I wonder how many macadamia nuts or walnuts = 20g.

Here's another one - fresh whipping cream!! If you buy the kind that comes in a milk carton and whip it yourself with no sugar, it's great over a bowl of raspberries, which are low in sugar. Four tbsp gives you 20 grams of fat.

When I used almond butter, I used BOTH regular butter and almond butter!!

I am a little confused (as ususal) LOL!

I thought we are supposed to avoid dairy like cheese and whipping cream?

Are gluten-free pancakes allowed?

Maybe I am confused because I always seem to be dealing with yeast issues.

All the above sounds so yummy!
