My opinion is that high blood pressure can be caused by the bacterial infection. I've never had high blood pressure before. My blood pressure is slowly coming down to a normal range, after a year of treatment.
I know for me it's not a herx, because when I had a terrible herx, my blood pressure was very low.

For the last 24 hours, my BP has been doing the same thing. I think mine is spiking due to a herx.

High BP is not a herx . See a doctor to find the problem .Sometimes chronic illnes effects BP by increasing lipids or bildup in your blood vesels .Take medicine to lower it before any damage can hapen.

My opinion is high BP can be a herx if it's temporary. Inflammation can be a herx and inflammation of the blood vessels can lead to high BP.
My BP has always been decent but I hit a horrible stretch for a couple of weeks from taking a combo of Lariam and Mepron. I knew I was feeling crummy and when I went in for a regular doc's appt, my BP was 140/100.
My BP settled down after I stopped my Lariam meds and hasn't shot back up since.

I almost always battle high blood pressure (hbp)when I am going through a down turn. There is definitely a direct association between lyme & HBP.

Wow, 140/100 wouldn't be too bad for me. I wish that were my herx. I know the diastolic is still high.

The point is if diastolic BP is above 100 for long time it will damage your kidneys heart and brain for sure and other organs to .BP 110 diastolic for short time can do big damage to your body ,talking here for days not hours.
