Have been on various abx for lyme for about 4 years. In October also diagnosed with bartonella with the new Igenex FISH test. Have been on zithromax for 2 months - trying that more conservative route first because I am very sensitive to meds.

In the last week my feet have become very painful. I know foot pain is a bartonella sympton but this is worse now that I am being treated. Wasn't really an issue before. Does this mean the bartonella being killed by the zith and causing inflammation or what else could be going on?

My son's foot pain always got worse with Bart treatment. LLMD said this was a herx reaction. You will always get worse before you get better.

Bart treatment (according to my son's LLMD) is almost always a combination of 2 drugs. Zith and minocycline is what he was taking.

May health be with you!

Toxic mold was suppressing our immune systems, causing extreme pain, brain fog and magnifying symptoms. Four days after moving out, the healing began.

Bart can cause foot pain, so can a sluggish lymphatic system. Be sure you're keeping the lymph flowing - skin brushing, rebounding, etc.

Can lyme cause sore soles? Every morning I wake up with sore feet.. and on and off throughout the day.

My Bart test came back negative but my LLMD said it is not always reliable. I don't think it was IgeneX though.

I don't have any fevers though..but I do get a lot of headaches (that could be the side effect of meds though)..

Yes both of those are symptoms of bartonella. I had maybe 3 negative bartonella tests over the last couple of years. When the new Igenex test came out a few months ago I tested positive. My LLMD says it is one of the best tests available.

I have had low WBC count for last 3 years - after 2 months on zithromax it is finally normal again!
