At the beginning of my illness, I had this sick, rev'd up feeling. It felt like my body was in over-drive. Very jittery, and like i had drinken 100 cups of coffee.
I recently started feeling this way again.
Does anyone else feel this? What do you attribute this to?

- It's very common with lyme. The NMDA neurotransmitters are overly excited due to toxicity from lyme - and from adrenal exhaustion and dysfunction, etc. All of these are vital to help:
MAGNESIUM and FISH OIL
LIVER SUPPORT
ADRENAL SUPPORT
ADDRESS INFECTION
Avoid aspartame, splenda, MSG (Google for all the names each hides under).
Avoid all artificial ingredients such as additives, dyes, etc.
Avoid caffeine (other than in Green Tea but if that is too stimulating, get the organically decaf kind).
Of course, avoid sugar, refined/processed foods - stick to healthful foods in their whole state that are low to moderate on the glycemic index.
AGGRESSIVE REST when you feel "wired" - even if you don't sleep, resting in dark and quiet room will help calm down the nerve cells and give the adrenal system a chance to heal.
Avoid using a cell phone at all times. Limit hand held phones, too as the light can be too stimulating for our brains, especially in the evening. It takes hours for the brain to settle down after that kind of intense light. Especially keep portable phones out of the bedroom.
Keep all electronics out of the bedroom. If behind an adjoining wall, unplug when not in use.
Avoid WiFi or wireless computers.
Be sure to turn off computer and turn down your lights an hour or so before bedtime (by 9 - 10 pm), maybe do some relaxing yoga stretches and deep breathing by candle light to soothing music. -

I find that I get this feeling MUCH more intensely when I've increased my abx dosage or added a stronger abx to my protocol. It's like someone gave me speed (which I've never taken, but the only thing to compare it to). I become incredibly racy and cannot sleep. It feels very toxic, which I guess it is due to the neurotoxins released from the Lyme (hopefully as they are dying out).

FYI: I have had and still have these symptoms to an extent. I've even used the 100 cups of coffee comparison in posts of mine way back.
Do you have any knowm reactivated viruses? I don't. People will say either Bart or Babs, but I will say I don't know. I test positive for Babs on several EDS machines from several physicians (not necessarily Lyme physicians). That's pretty consistent. It's kind of been ignored, and I've never treated for it.
I also have severe hypercoagulation that is often linked to Babesiosis.
I don't have typical symptoms of Babs. I don't have the depression. I have chest pain and tachycardia, and some say that's caused by Babs. But then again, Benadryl makes me anxious, NyQuil keeps me up all night, and anti-psychotics (tried it for anxiety) make me extremely agitated and psychotic. Adderrall used to calm me down and made me focus.
My brain isn't wired like the average person. Perhaps people with ADHD wiring get anxiety with Babs? I can only guess at this point. I don't ever feel depression. Only the opposite.

This is not fun! I had this in the very beginning also and I felt like I needed to get up and RUN right in the middle of my nursing classes. It was like so much energy was building up inside me. I had this for the last year.
Funny thing though...I saw a homeopathic doc. and was given a homeopathic remedy for anxiety and it Worked!!! It greatly lessened the constant jittery, overexcited, hyper feeling.
